Honestly, I can't say enough good things about lemongrass Cafe. I didn't realize how close this place was to our office and so we didn't come here very often until a friend introduced me to it. I also know that they opened a new location near our house in Windermere and that helped me understand what they were all about. Since then, me and my work friends have gone to this location several times as our office is on gateway boulevard. We've also taken customers here several times and we have never had a negative experience. The staff is friendly and courteous, and even when they are busy, they do their absolute best to make sure people are seated in a reasonable amount of time. The food is always fresh and delicious, and I feel that their prices are fantastic. I love this location and I love the food and service. I think this is a fantastic business and I recommend...

Food was amazing! Spicy hot n sour absolutely perfect! However my experience with the server today was NOT it. I went in to pick up my order the waitress there asked for my name. I asked if I could pay cash as I didn't have my card on me. She ignored me, put the machine on the counter and briskly walked away. When she came back it was to give the skip person their order when she was done with them, I asked again. She refused to make eye contact and walked away again. I waited a bit longer and when she returned asked if I had already paid. I for the 3rd time asked again to pay cash. She took the cash gave me change and the receipt. I counted my change and this apparently annoyed her? I'm allowed to count my change lady. I left after with my food. Lemongrass would've definitely gotten 5stars for the food, but the service, albeit short, left a sour taste...

My girlfriend has been talking about Lemongrass for a long time and today I had the opportunity to try it out for myself. Great food!!

There were two of us and we shared salad rolls, papaya salad with beef and wor wonton soup. More than enough food for two.

The salad rolls have plenty of fresh basil which always is good, shrimp, bits of cucumber and rice vermicelli. Served with a peanut sauce.

The beef on the papaya salad is so delicious! It is tender and tasty. Matchstick green papaya and carrots, fresh basil and the beef in a wonderful light dressing.

Wor wonton soup is an absolute delight! Homemade wontons, carrots, mushrooms, broccoli, bok choy, squid and shrimp in a flavourful broth. Yummy!

We were there around 12:30 on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. There were a lot of takeout orders while we were there.

Highly recommend...

We walked in and we were sat quickly which was nice. Very nice place! Open concept, no booths. Has some natural lighting. They immediately brought us water that was warm and threw two ice cubes in it. The server was pretty curt. Their menu is quite large and have a lot of options. I thought that the overall flavour of the dishes we had were lack lustre. There was no wow factor. After we got our food, the server never checked up on us until we walked to the front counter to pay. I have heard good things about this place and decided to return, but I don’t think we will come back, the service and food missed their target.

Overall I wasn't impressed but it was good. We went for lunch and it was super busy so service was a bit slow but they definitely tried hard and were running around like crazy. We tried the spring roll appetizers which were good but we found the peanut sauce to be just so so. For the mains we had one of the soups and the grilled chicken and beef. Both dishes were good but nothing remarkable. I did find that there was a bit too much vermecili noodles and not a lot of meat. The soup broth was good but again wasn't any better than other places. I wouldn't be against going back but wouldn't seek it out either.
