I will start with “I love Taco Time”.

First time to the ellerslie road location. I eat Mexican cause I like spicy food. I did a take out order and ate in the parking lot.

Ordered regular beef and cheese burrito and Mexi-fries delux. Only allowed one hot sauce per item (and they were half full). I paid for 4 extra hot sauce. The sauce was like water had no flavour and both the burrito and mex fries were cold.

When I opened the Mexi fries it looked like mush in the container. It was gross.

The old guy that served me had his phone on speaker phone the whole time he served me.

He jammed it all into a small bag and hot sauce and Mexi fries were leaking before I got to vehicle. He never gave me a receipt so have no idea what he charged for the bag

Maybe I should have taken the hint when there wasn’t one person sitting in the store but I didn’t.

I normally don’t do reviews but was so disappointed that I actually took the time to make this comment.

I hope this was only a one time thing because of this location (ellerslie re and 97 street) cause if this is the way taco time is going - I will be done with taco time for good.

I’ve visited this Taco Time location several times and while the food itself is similar to other locations, there’s been a consistent and frustrating issue: no hot sauce. Every single visit, I order multiple meals and specifically ask for hot sauce, not as an afterthought, but right at the beginning of the order. Despite this, the hot sauce is always missing.

What makes this even more disappointing is that the franchisee I’m assuming himself is usually the one preparing the order. You would expect more attention to detail, especially from someone running the place. Unfortunately, even when I clearly mention the hot sauce during the order, it still gets forgotten. Every. Single. Time.

Hot sauce isn’t just a side, it’s a necessity with Taco Time meals. It’s part of the experience. Having to drive home and realize (yet again) that it’s missing really ruins the meal and shows a lack of care in the service. I genuinely hoped this would improve after giving them several chances, but it hasn’t.

If management can’t remember something as basic and essential as hot sauce, even with a reminder, it really makes you question the attention given to anything...
