Jun 13/25 My family went there for early Father's Day dinner. The Ling code dishes were fresh and tasty. My children liked to have dinner there too. It was very roomy and tidy. The sweet and sour pork was crispy. The Malaysian Beef fried rice, served in a big hot stone bowl was the one I like the best. The bowl could keep the rice hot for long time. Went there for a wedding banquet. All people enjoyed the food, especially the deep fried crab meat ball. Tonight, my family went there for dinner again. All dishes were good. My children specially loved the sweet and sour pork, beef fried rice. If you don't mind paying a bit more, then you could enjoy better settings and better Chinese dim sum at Edmonton south area. Good service, quality and quantity.I like the baked BBQ pork bun and cocktail bun. They charge more because the size of each dish is generally bigger than the other restaurants. Also, they charge for the Chinese tea, is about $2.5 per person. Other Chinese restaurants, tea is free for all customers. For six of us, we spent about $190, including gratuity. Tonight, we have two tables, for a birthday celebration. All the dishes were very good. We all enjoyed it. Take a look of the foods that we ordered.

The quality has certainly declined over the years. It is inconsistent and would sometimes be a 2 to 3 star food quality experience. For example, their pastries are dry and lack flavor and their steamed beef ball is dense and lack flavor. It seems like there is a lot of added "filler" without much real ingredients that fill the inside of the dim sum. The beef rice roll has some beef flavor but is so thinly pressed that you may almost think you are eating a plain steamed rice roll. Their steamed BBQ pork bun is about 90% bun with little sauce and BBQ pork. Their BBQ pork pastry (there is a lot of dough with the thinnest slice of BBQ pork and little to no sauce) and their pan fried water chestnut cake (it is about 90+% dense cake though there is a bit of diced water chestnut). You will feel full because of all the filler material (which is probably a flour or other carb) that is added but it is not a "good full" kind of feeling. All of these dishes suffer from lack of flavor due to the high amount of carb and filler. The cost per dish is also starting easily at about 20% higher than most other places. The restaurant itself is a nice open space.

Dim sum is decent but hella expensive. Should have figured since they don't list their prices on the dine in menu but I naively assumed Tasty Noodle was comparable in price to other dim sum restaurants. For 2 adults, a toddler and infant plus tip, our bill was $90. Food portions were average and tasted good but the curry squid was the smallest I've seen and the taste was forgettable. Service was efficient and friendly, very clean and organized inside. Covid rules being followed for the most part, they screen your group to ensure you're from the same household but seem to let that rule slide as a table nearby clearly had a group of friends eating together. Doubtful that 3 guys each with their own supercar share a condo.... If you're in the south and need to get your dim sum fix and have a brown bill burning a hole in your pocket, this is the place. If you want to save 20% and pay what other restaurants are charging, order take out instead.

Decent price & food... I wanted to rate it 4 stars as it was a nice surprise how the interior was not representative of the outside (understated and a bit cheesy looking), however read on...

Our close family and friends were there for my brother's and his future wife's pre-wedding casual dinner for approximately 20+ people as the previous reservations at another restaurant fell through at the last minute. We were pleasantly surprised as no one had been to this restaurant previously.

The inside was well furnished/decorated and had fresh seafood available in live tanks (fish, crab & lobster)... the food was fairly priced and tasty (not overly heavy in spices etc.) And very authentic varied offerings on the menu.

The food was better than average for the price and fairly fresh. (My mom gave it a 6-7 out of 10 which is saying a lot if you knew her - she was restaurant industry for over 40+ years) and all our family had owned or worked in the restaurant business for many years prior.

Our party was split at different tables due to Covid-19 regulations(but in the same room).

The reason for 3 star rating however is due to the slow delivery of food in a empty restaurant (we were the only customers left), also the waitress we had was very flustered (it was only 2 hours from closing and we were her only two rables) she kept forgetting to bring the drink orders several times when asked. However, as she was the only person serving both large tables we were understanding (since her fellow co-workers stood around but didn't help her... ?)

After dinner on the way out (bill was paid already btw) our waitress told me (as my mother, aunts and I were the last ones to leave) that there was over $23 in drinks not paid for as they said the waitress forgot to put it on the $600+ bill after tips... really? They said they forgot to charge for the drinks on the bill but the bill wasn't detailed as it didn't show the items ordered or their prices.. either this was true or they double charged us for the drinks (we'll never know...read on).We paid the 'unpaid' charges after the fact as we didn't want the waitress to have to pay out of her pocket for the drinks... but we still don't know if the bill was right, or if the drinks were already charged for... things that make you go hmmmm.

Otherwise it was a enjoyable meal and we would recommend it, just make sure you get a detailed bill before you...

My wife and I went there last night, Friday, Dec. 15th, 2023 at 7:30pm. From the outside the place looked closed. Cheap LED lighting was very bluish white and not inviting at all. There were four or five patrons at the time yet a man was mopping the floor....like he was getting ready to close. ? There were 3 large TV's dangling from the ceiling, in three corners of the restaurant. None of them were on. We enquired if they were open and were assured that they were. Our first instinct was to bolt but, we were hungry and, all of the other restaurants in the area were full so, we sat down. I won't go into a lot of detail but, the food was terrible and overpriced. I'd never been there before but, I'm an experienced diner and, if I had to guess, this restaurant has been around for a long time and, having moderate success, have decided that they can rest on their laurels. It's truly hard to believe that this place is in business. ? I'll leave you with one last thing. Just have a look at their beverage menu. (the one in the restaurant is a bit different than the online one but, same deal) They have 3 things. Bottled water....for $4.95, Canned Pop for $4.50, and Iced Tea for $4.75! I ordered the ice tea and the woman came out and plunked down a 341ml can of Nestea (the ones you pay .65c at any store!) and a glass. A little bit of ice, no lemon slice......FOR $4.75!!!? In visiting their website, I notice that they're hiring. Yes, they need to fire the entire staff, management, and the owner, and start from...

I don't really know how to describe Tasty Noodle aside from being up class and fancy dim sum (that is when I went - can't speak to the dinner menu).

Located on Calgary trail, it's a fairly easy venue to spot. The restaurant is big, with lots of windows for natural lighting. We ended up at tasty noodle on a long weekend for dim sum. The restaurant was only about half full, compared to the staggering line at some of the other typical dim sum hotspots we checked out first.

We were seated promptly and the service was really good throughout our meal. Lots of check ins, picking up steamer baskets and refills on water and tea.

The menu is fairly standard for dim sum and it has all of the regular favorites, such as shrimp dumplings (ha gow), pork buns, congee, noodles, etc BUT is quite a bit more expensive compared to other dim sum places in the city. I, personally, found some of the food to be a bit bland (i.e peanut dumplings) considering how over priced it was. The congee and the minced beef rice roll was probably my favorite.

Overall, for 4 adults and 2 kids under the age of 6, our bill came out to over $200 which is quite astonishing for dim sum. Not sure I would ever go back here for dim sum but I might consider trying it for dinner to see if it fairs any better. If finances aren't an issue for you and hate waiting in typical lines for dim sum then this might be a good...
