Five Guys — Restaurant in Fort McMurray

My fiance and I both tried the Bacon Cheeseburger (double patties!) and loved it!

I can be a little picky when it comes to dressing burgers, but you get to choose which toppings to add from a list (unlimited and free!). How could I go wrong with a custom burger, tailored to my own nuanced taste? Trick question: I didn't! Especially when the beef is so juicy and flavorful!

The spicy cajun fries were also scrumptious and although we ordered a single large fries to share, they packed the container AND the entire bag it sat in (at least double the fries)! We also asked for cups to fill water from the soda fountain and these were given without any issue.

While my fiance went to the bathroom after our meal, I read magazine clippings related to Five Guys that were framed all over the walls, which helped me gain a greater insight into the history and cultural impact of the franchise (and kept me from boredom!).

Tasty, Juicy, My Five Guys Experience. I had an excellent experience at Five Guys. The atmosphere is casual and energetic, with open kitchens that allow you to watch your food being prepared. The staff was friendly and efficient, and my order was accurate and ready quickly.

The burgers are the main attraction. They are juicy, fresh, customizable, and have a wide range of free toppings. I appreciated how everything tasted freshly made to order. The fries, especially the poutine and Cajun ones, were delicious, well-seasoned, and served in generous portions.

While it's not the cheapest fast-food option, I believe it’s worth it for the quality and portion sizes. You're paying for a premium fast-casual dining experience.

5 Guys was first described to me as having "the best burger you can buy." My first visit, with this expectation in mind, was a disappointment, as it was only a very good burger. With subsequent visits, however, I have decided that 5 Guys is by and large the best fast food burger you can buy. The hot dogs are also great, the shakes are great, the free peanuts to snack on while you wait for your food are something I always look forward to, and the fries, while not necessarily my favorite, are always over-delivered; if you order to go, the fry container will be full, as well as half of the bag that they give it to you in.
