We came to Denny's at about 12:40-12:45. Around lunch time. We ordered waters, they never came. Then another waitress came around and asked for our drink order. I ordered decaf coffee and when I got it it was barely luke warm and definitely old. We ordered our food when I ordered my coffee and waited over an hour to finally be served. Little did we know our food would come out cold and old like the coffee. We were halfway done eating, because we were so hungry and didnt want to wait to send it back. And the manager comes and asks if we want it remade while we are in the middle of eating what we had. We said no we do not want to wait any longer as it had already been well over an hour. He offered to give us a discount on our meal, which I agreed to. We got the bill and found out that the manager decided that 9$ was enough of a discount to make up for the slow service and cold everything. Saw multiple groups come and get sat down and got their food within a normal amount of time that you'd expect from a busy Denny's. Our waitress told us she asked her manager to comp 50% of our meal, to which he supposedly declined. I said 9$ was not good enough because this situation has wasted nearly 2 hours of our day total. The waitress kindly went back to request a more significant discount that reflects our experience and came back with a bill with 18$ discounted. 9$ more than the last bill they brought us.
Manager also did not seem keen on talking to me, a female and continued to try discuss the issue with my male partner when I was the one with the issue with the food and service.

There was so many things wrong, my partner had to ask for his drink twice, I ordered two gravy for my kids with the appetizers, we only got one. Ordered the second and that didn't come till his food was cold already. Then we ordered our main meals before we got our appetizers, we didn't get our mains till an hour later. I always order my toddlers meals before mine if I get the chance because they take longer to eat, but they were done and restless by the time our food came. His steak was way overcooked, there was something that looked like fiberglass or short hairs on my fries, they didn't get mine or my oldest sons gravy and they got him the regular fries when we ordered the season fries. The plate she initially brought me wasn't mine, we had to ask several times for napkins and didn't get any half the time, all of our food was cold, and the carbonation in the pop wasn't there. We were discussing how bad the experience was when our server offered to try get us a discount because she knew we were feeling this way. Manager refused, it was the dark lady that pencils on her eyebrows. She blamed the waitress, it was extremely unprofessional. If you are the manager on shift you are taking on the responsibility to represent your servers and your kitchen. 150$ later and I am up at night wondering if they charged me for the gravy I never got because I was so upset and in such a rush with my kids, I didn't even check.
