Pita Pit — Restaurant in Grande Prairie

UPDATE 2/23/25: Not changing my review, because when their head office reached out, their idea of making it right was offering me...loyalty points. For an app I don't have and a restaurant I said I'd never return to. Why would I want to join your reward program when I'm not even sure I want to come back? A gift card would make much more sense. Poorly handled.

Everyone who works here looks miserable and you're inconveniencing them by daring to want food. If you order an item and they are out of a (expensive!) core ingredient, they won't tell you, they'll just assume you won't notice. I ordered the most expensive pita on the menu only to find out when I was halfway done that they were "out" of avocado and didn't bother to mention that. No solution offered at all, just looked at me like I was the a**le for wanting what I paid for when asking politely.

If you're charging me $14 for vegetables wrapped in bread, I better get one of the premium ingredients it's supposed to contain. Not...

Every time I walk in, there’s no greeting, no smile just miserable faces. The staff don’t even try to be welcoming or start a simple conversation, which already makes the experience feel unpleasant. On top of that, the prices are outrageous. You pay extra for things like cheese and bacon, yet you barely get anything—for “extra bacon” I literally got one extra slice.

What makes it worse is the inconsistency. I’ve been charged for extra cheese before, but now they tell me I didn’t pay for it—even though I know I did. Instead of resolving it politely, they just look annoyed and start talking in their own language in front of customers, which feels unprofessional.

I was overcharged by almost $5 for a small chicken ceasar extra meat. However the receipt said otherwise. When I confronted the employee and was shown the receipt I had to pull up my bank transactions to prove I was overcharged. From there on out I was basically ignored. When I said I want the bacon cooked till crispy three times i was ignored. I asked for extra tazitki and it was ignored. It's been a long time since I've been to pita pit and this will be the last time we visit. Seems fishy being overcharged on my debit but having the receipt say otherwise.....

After reviewing all the most recent reviews on google it seems this location has new owners. Now it makes sense as to the shitshow that is now pita pit. I refuse to take this issue to the new owners, I'll just take my...
