A&W Canada — Restaurant in Greater Sudbury

Came in here a few days ago during a dinner rush. Most of the staff was nice, food was good as always and the restaurant was clean. The only complaint i have, which is a big one is the fact that there was, what i consider to be a private meeting going on between the management(i suppose) and an employee. They were yelling at her and causing her to cry. Although i do appreciate the company’s need for good staff, this experience made the entire atmosphere of the restaurant off. Everybody in the place at the time was uncomfortable and we could all hear what they were talking about. I wish this was a matter handled behind private doors or at least not in the middle of the restaurant at a customer table during a dinner rush. It was so awkward I couldn’t even enjoy my dinner, it was like one big elephant in the room. Super fresh and delicious food. Even though we have another A&W closer to our home we always choose to go to this one. The location is perfect in the New Sudbury shopping area. The store is clean and the food is always fresh. We go there at different times of the day and the food is great all the time. We might need to wait a bit for it to be ready but that’s because they make it to order. They have accessible entrance and accessible washroom as well as handicapped parking space. They also have a couple of tables outside that we use during summer. There is a huge parking lot and at the end of the plaza there is an LCBO. It is across from Silver city (cineplex). Almost everything about our visit was wrong. We ordered and when our order was called the cashier gave our order to the lady behind us. So we waited extra time for my order to be made again. Then when we got our order it was incorrect. The manager was kind enough to give us 2 Apple pie to smooth the situation. We also got a refund for the wrong order. They did do their best to make me happy which was nice. Thanks guys. I'm sure our next visit will be better. Also loving the more eco-friendly straws and no plastic! No ice too what a way to reduce the carbon footprint. Well...
