I’m not normally one to complain, but our recent Gino’s experience left a seriously bad taste in our mouths.
We normally LOVE Gino’s and order fairly regularly- maybe 3x per month or so. Our most recent order, we got the same pizza we always get, and parts of the dough were still raw. We contacted customer service, and they initially told us it was an issue with the order (thick, lightly cooked). I explained that it was our usual, and it wasn’t lightly cooked but raw. They said they’d get the pizza made again and re-sent, which was a satisfactory conclusion.
We then received a call from the store, at which time the person in charge told us (in a very aggressive tone) that the pizza dough was supposed to be raw in places “because the expectation is that people cook it more at home”. Given that the dough was unevenly cooked (some was adequately prepared) and we’ve ordered our crust the same way multiple times without issue, this seems like a lie. If that is true, and it is not just a matter of dough preference, you should put a disclaimer on your site so that people know that this is the expectation. It would be terrible if any food borne illness or other issues from improperly cooked food resulted from this lack of clarity.
I expected Gino’s to be better, as they’re usually fantastic (great food, delivered within the expected time frame, kind driver, etc.). This was such a disappointing experience all-around that I doubt we’ll order from the Grimsby...

The store owner of the Gino's Pizza in Grimsby readily contacted me after receiving my information. - He was polite, professional, and expressed care for both the quality of his establishment's products and his customers. We are pleased with how he listened to our positive criticisms and rectified our past experience. With that said, he recognize that everyone makes mistakes and will continue to be devoted customers to Gino's Pizza in Grimsby. Thank you.

Disappointed! We normally love Gino's pizza but we just ordered delivery from the Gino's in Grimsby and all three of our pizzas were BURNT. I was shocked that they even served their pizzas in this condition. My kids were extremely hungry, so I scrapped off the carcinogen on the bottom of each pizza as best as I could, but we are extremely disappointed and...
Read moreWe had never ordered from Gino's but at 11:30pm on Sunday night they were the only place opened. Lucky for us! We ordered a large green peppers and mushroom with half pineapple. I asked if they used lots of cheese and the young man said they did. When we drove down from Smithville to pick it up I was met by a very polite young man. I checked to make sure I had the correct pizza as we have gotten the wrong pizza before. I saw there was no pineapple as the young man made sure to give me lots of cheese he forgot the pineapple. He was very generous and offered to make me an other at no charge. And when I said we drove down with our pup he gave me a slice for him as they were closing and would be tossing the extras. I would order from here again when we get a future late night craving and will hopefully be served by this nice young man. I wish I remembered his name....
