I want to share my experience at the Grimsby McDonald's today. I ordered two McChickens and was asked to pull over while they prepared my food, which is understandable. However, after waiting ten minutes, when my order was finally ready, the staff insisted I drive around again instead of walking out to hand it over like they are supposed to. This added unnecessary frustration as I had to wait behind other cars.
When I reached the window, I calmly requested a refund, feeling that I no longer wanted to eat there. What happened next was particularly disheartening. I overheard the employee speaking to her manager, Ishita, in their native language, saying, “They are asking for a refund; I was going to offer them a free drink, but they started with the refund request,” and added, “They are desi only.” It felt like my experience was dismissed simply because of our shared background and manager didn't even ask if there is anything they could do to make things better.
I didn’t make a scene; I have dashcam footage of the entire encounter. We left after getting our refund, but it was disappointing to see such behavior from people of my own background. This location used to be my favorite, and while I’m glad they’re now open 24 hours on weekends, it’s clear they don’t have the staffing to manage it. Other delivery drivers were also waiting and visibly frustrated.
Overall, this experience was disappointing, and it's disheartening to witness such behavior within our...
Read moreI visit McDonalds in Grimsby almost daily for my morning fix. It is atrocious how many times they have handed me the wrong items out the drive-thru window or failed to give me items I have paid for. Last week, it was an Sausage McMuffin which I let slide. Yesterday they forgot my muffin, so I thought it was only right for me as a loyal customer to request for my 35cent Muffin which was missed yesterday be given to me today. I was told NO! because I didn't have my receipt. I accepted this lame decision provided by the store manager who clearly requires customer service training . I made my muffin and coffee purchase as per usual. Well guess what??? I got my muffin but it wasn't the muffin I ordered. I realize it's just a muffin but it is the principle not the money. I was told by the Manager I cannot have my 35cent Muffin which I didn't receive yesterday because I didn't have receipt and today I am given the wrong muffin. Well guess what I have a photo and my receipt for todays screw up. I won't be returning to the Grimsby location for aid from the poorly trained manager and staff. I will simply escalate this to McDonalds Head-Office so hopefully they can address these concerns with the location directly. GET IT TOGETHER! The least you can do is give people what they pay for. I think that...
Read moreWhen McDonald's coffee is done up right I prefer it to any other coffee. Problem is, it is very seldom done up right. More times than not the coffee is just luke warm at best. Yesterday, Sept. 25/18 at about 5:30 pm I got a luke warm coffee at the drive thru. I asked for a medium coffee with one sugar and half a milk (I've been taking my coffee this way for years and have been going through this same McDonald's for years) but yesterday's visit was the straw that broke the camels back. My coffee was just luke warm as usual and no sugar and at least a full cream. I looked at it and tasted it before I pulled away and it almost turned my stomach. I tapped on the window and asked the young girl if she could repeat my order to me. She had taken it correctly so I told her that my coffee didn't have any sugar and it was thick with cream. She said to me "milk / cream what's the difference" seriously, she didn't know the difference between milk and cream. So I just dumped the coffee right there and went up the street to the Timmy's and got a piping hot fresh coffee done to perfection. Guess where I'll be getting my coffee's from now on?? And don't think that 8th medium coffee is free. We've have paid $1.05 towards it. Timmy's medium is $1.75 and...
