My husband and I were craving a charbroiled burger so we figured head over to Harvey's. We tried to use our app to place the order but it for some reason the Harvey's app does not process our Mastercard debits, that wasn't really the issue. Harvey's has always been really great about honoring the coupon pricing when the app won't process the payment. So we went in to the location on Gordon St in Guelph, and we were greeted by the Assistant Manager. We explained the situation and she seemed to understand the assignment, My husband tried to show her his phone where we had the order punched in on the app so she would make sure to get it right. She kept talking over him and saying I will give you this price I will just punch it in. So my husband said I want to order you big Harv combo with a triple pickle poutine. she then turned to me and asked what I would be having, I said the same thing but with a large regular poutine and I want a Large Dr Pepper to drink and my husband said yeah you never even asked my drink I also want a large Dr Pepper with my combo. . So from that I assumed we would be getting 2 big harv combo one with a triple pickle poutine and one with a large poutine, she gave us our total and we paid, while they were making the order she said oh we made the triple pickle poutine a large by mistake, we will give you the large one at no extra cost. Ok. Then she had a burger in hand asked what toppings I wanted told us the regular poutine would be just a few more moments, she topped my burger put everything in the bag, thanked us and was sending us on our way, but what about my husbands burger? She looked as confused as me then she checked the receipt and said I didn't charge you for a combo I rang it in as a triple pickle poutine and drink and a big harv combo. well you did it wrong because I ordered what he was having with a different type of poutine, she kept arguing then finally deferred to the general manager who listened to what we were saying, he could tell my husband was very upset nad he made it right he got us my husbands burger and there was no charge, but since she rang in the pickle poutine as a large anyway it wasn't that far off the price, but even as were were explaining to the manager she kept interrupting and trying to give her version of events, my husband was about ready to go across the counter. I calmed him explained to the manager that his Assistant needs to learn to listen to hear instead of listening to respond because she wasn't hearing at all what we were saying to her she just had her own agenda of trying to be fast, I would rather have it slow and right. Read moreNever go to this location ever. Well I was at Harvey’s enjoying an after school snack I ordered and everything went good. Since I was sharing with my friend I was still hungry so I decided to order again. I remembered there was a walk-through window and I wanted to try it so I walked outside. Well waiting to get my order taken I was greeted by a rude lady who was already giving me bad looks within the first five seconds of looking at me. She asked me if I wanted to order and I said yes (why else would I be there for). After I was done taking my order before going inside, she told me it was weird that I couldn’t have just came inside to order then shut the window. I went inside to go back to my seat and she proceeded to tell me again that it’s strange that I couldn’t have just came inside to order. I said sorry then went to my seat.
