Just wow!!!! If I knew the dine in experience was going to be like this I would dine in every time. We stopped here after the hospital with my elderly father and my small baby. The place was clean and the staff extremely friendly. I was just telling my dad I needed to change the baby’s diaper and without missing a beat the clerk (liz)who was taking our order asks her colleague (Travis) To unlock the changing table in the bathroom. I didn’t even ask her but she was a step ahead and wanted to help out before I even knew it!!! They were so friendly they took initiative and I thought that’s it for customer service. Low and behold it only gets better. The changing table was so clean and there was changing table napkins available for mothers to use which was awesome. I also noticed they had a needle safe station and when we finished from the bathroom there was a gentleman who replaces these boxes. For a client of McDonald’s that shows a good cleanly place that has pride. So I finally get to the table and my food is hot perfectly done as I asked which was custom. I am holding my baby trying to eat with one hand and I realized I don’t have any Ketchup so I asked Travis if he could please get me some he was so happy and eager to help me out I was in shock I felt like I was at a restaurant not a fast food joint. The fact you bring the food to the table is something else too! How great, especially since my dad has a disability so he couldn’t carry everything over while I was in the washroom changing the baby. Then I decided to observe my surroundings I saw business individuals having meetings I saw blue collar individuals Having lunches I saw families having lunches it was such a well-rounded group of individuals and I could understand why this wasn’t just a regular McDonald’s this place was spectacular. I was also over hearing and watching the managers not only welcome clients in but clear up tables or trays which is something you also don’t see because of the hierarchy but this place there was no difference between the employees and the managers. So overall I just want to say how amazing experience it was I normally would be embarrassed to say I was at McDonald’s but I’ve been boasting about this location to my family and friends and every time I will go to this location when I’m at the Guelph hospital especially because I’m from out of town. Thank you to this McDonald’s and I really hope other McDonald’s locations take a page of customer service and experience...
Read moreI wish I could provide a negative star review. I left in tears and very shooken up. I was genuinely yelled at by the order taker. I am a very open minded person, and I love people from all over the world, but I genuinely could not understand what the gentleman was saying. He was mumbling and not articulating his words and I genuinely could not understand what he was saying, and I very very politely said to him, "I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you are saying." I really, really tried to make out what he was saying. Very genuinely so. But I literally could not. And he then decided to yell, not raise his voice, but full out yell at me, "Welcome to McDonald's can I take your order." Well at least I could understand him at that point. And I politely asked, "why are you yelling at me?" I was genuinely taken aback, almost in tears as I have never, ever been spoken to that way by an order taker. I have interacted happily with other McDonald's employees in the location on Stone Road and they have come here from abroad and zero issues. I am trying to be so tactful and kind, but wow, this is the first time I have actually felt like a stranger in my own country. I am sad. I asked the person at the next window why he yelled at me? He was quite and had not much to say. He simply said it was the headset. No no, it was not the headset my friend. He closed the window. I waited and honked my horn as nicely as I could, and I could tell they did not want to speak with me. But I waited, and then a lady came to the window. I asked her the same question, "why did he yell at me?" She was very defensive and was very terse. She began yelling at me as well. I really don't know what I did wrong? I am perplexed and taken aback. I miss Canada. I love poeple, and we can have people join us, but have respect as you are a guest and we have welcomed you here. We are a kind people, and anyone who knows me, it takes a lot to get me upset like this. I am always for the underdog, but this really hit home. It brought tears to my eyes and for the first time ever, I asked myself, "Where is the Canada I once...
Read moreTook my grandson to this sorry excuse for a customer service establishment tonight. Went through the drive-through and ordered food for him and for my 2 granddaughters, along with 2 kiddie cones. Was told they don’t serve kiddie cones at the drive through. No solution offered. I asked if I needed to go in and was told yes. Left the drive through. Parked. Restaurant doors are locked. Went to another set of doors. Locked. Tons of people inside. ??? Walked over to the drive through to ask. Girl was surprised and said she’d have someone let us in. Went back to the doors - all with my grandson in tow. No dice. Doors locked, no one coming. Lots of other people are also trying to get in. Got back in the car and went to the drive through only to be told they lock the side doors at 9:00. Except IT WASN’T EVEN 9:00 YET. And the ‘manager’ said there was only one door unlocked, but I had tried two doors already and didn’t know there was another door. There were NO signs about doors being locked at 9:00 (or apparently 8:55) or about the other door (which I didn’t even know existed and is at the opposite side of the building from the parking lot). So at this point, I’m feeling pretty frustrated... But they’re telling me if I want kiddie cones I have to park my car AGAIN and walk around the building to the unlocked door. If they had given me this information to begin with.... So we went to Wendy’s! Never again downtown Guelph McDonalds! Your customer service is...
