A friend and I showed up for lunch here one day around noon on a Wednesday in January, and the placed was lined up right to the door about 20 people deep, with most tables taken. So we left and came back another day at 11:30, and luckily there were only a couple of people left in line and lots of free tables still. There are some booths, some higher tables with higher chairs, regular tables, etc and probably overall seating for 50? Lots of staff working in the kitchen, which is open enough to see. I tried the bacon cheese dog with the works, which was good, but not unique in any way. The online menu doesn't list prices, so I assume each location of the franchise can set its own prices within a range. It doesn't list menu items in the standard 'combo' way that most fast food joints do, but just separately. I had a small or regular fries which were good. Also a peanut butter milkshake which was delicious. My friend had the bacon cheeseburger and said the same thing, it was definitely good, but not unique. He also enjoyed his chocolate shake. I don't believe they asked if the food was to go or to eat in, but we received a paper bag after waiting 6 or 7 minutes. Both fries tipped over inside the bag so it was a big mess and wouldn't be good if you wanted proper separation of whose fries are whose. We didn't care and just tore the bag open and ate from the same big pile. The bill came to $48 which is insane for a fast food meal, but I'd still go back again and try...
Read moreHadn't been here since prior to Covid - thought I'd give it another try. I arrived just around noon - restaurant wasn't too busy (no lineup to order). Left 30 mins later and it was booming!
Gentleman taking my order was very pleasant, cheerful and efficient. Excellent customer service - 5/5.
A bit of sticker shock at the price - $20.87 before taxes/tip for just myself (Bacon Cheese Burger, Small Fries and a Small Diet Coke). The fries were nice and crispy - fresh out of the fryer. However, over salted for my taste. Burger was delicious, but it too seemed over salted for my taste. The burger bun got soggy very fast. I ended up just eating the inside of the burger separately and leaving the bun. I think if I had asked for the spreads to be on the side so I could add my self this would have made for a better eating experience. I have to deduct a point for the saltiness and soggy bun so giving the food a solid 4/5.
Of note, I did not realize the regular burger had 2 patties - so had some unexpected extra protein for lunch. Reviewing the menu, I see for the one patty, I should have ordered the 'little' burger.
Atmosphere is what I would expect for a burger joint. Seating options included low/high tables or booths. Tables were clean and being wiped down regularly. Of note - the tiling on the floor seemed rather slippery even though I had on sneakers. Not sure what...
Read moreHi Manager(may be Jeff), I’ve been coming to the Chain Lake Five Guys with my family for years now since 2021 and we’ve always loved your burgers. We’re regulars, usually popping in at least once a month with the kids. I’ve always appreciated the friendly smiles and great service from your staff.
That’s why I’m feeling a bit disappointed lately. The last three visits twice last month and once again this month I’ve noticed the same thing that left me a bit uncomfortable. Some of the staff were speaking quite loudly to each other in another language while serving. I absolutely respect all languages and cultures, but as a customer, it left me feeling a little awkward and unsure if something was being said about me or others.
I’d hate for this to affect how often we visit, because we truly enjoy your food and atmosphere. I just wanted to share this in hopes that the welcoming, friendly vibe we’ve always loved stays the same for everyone.
Thanks for the great burgers hope to keep enjoying them for many years to come. I am so sorry for my bad rating today. We donna treat FG...
