Harvey's — Restaurant in Halifax

Went to Harvey's in Bayer's Lake and I was very impressed with the service we received. I believe it was the assistant Manager who waited on us, and his customer service skills were second to none. He actually seemed to care about his customers experience which is a very rare thing these days. He even followed up by not only delivering our food to our table but checked to see how we liked everything.

The food was fresh and very tasty. I had never tried Harvey's crispy chicken burger before but thought I would try something different this time and it was good as well.

The only area of opportunity I would give to this location is the actual location itself. If you have not been there before and are not going through the drive through it is somewhat cumbersome to figure out where to park. You have to drive around what looks like the back of another building to get to the front of the store which is rather odd. Just a recommendation, but if there are no plans to relocate I would recommend putting up a sign in the parking lot so people know how to access the front of the store.

I have had maximum 2 issues ever at this location. I love the taste of Harvey's food, wish of course like anything else it could be less expensive but overall worth it in my opinion.

I had a bad order of food recently and the manager Jeff made up for it and made sure the problem was fixed for next time. Would certainly recommend coming here, the staff are wonderful too.

UPDATE: Other than a good correction of this particular mistake, I have had more mistakes since this point. I am a big weirdo for the poutine particularly at Harvey's. They substitute the gravy on occassion, apparently. I previously inquired about this and never received a response, since I had two gross tasting routines within two weeks of eachother. I went and got another and wasted my money on this gross tasting gravy. The response I had from Jeff the manager this time was disappointing. Anyway unfortunately the consistency has been lost with this food chain, and considering we are paying more than ever it's just not worth it...

Couldn't give a 0, the "supervisor" looks at us and loudly says "Are you going to order now, or am I going to serve the next people?", referring to the ones that just walked in and we had been standing back from the counter looking over the menu as we hadn't eaten there before. We were rushed through the order process with after every item saying "Is that it?" And what else do you want. So after that lovely experience we still tried to eat but should have went somewhere else, the Angus and original burgers were horrible and we weren't asked about any upgrades she just kept saying what do you want for your side? Never heard that before, usually it's fries or onion rings? Not here. The meat was chunky and tasteless like there was no seasoning. Frozen burgers from a grocery store taste better and I have more toppings at home. Very cramped eating area and unclean where all the tables had crumbs on them. Stay away from here!
