Jellies — Restaurant in Halifax

My husband and I stumbled across Jellies last night after an evening exploring Quinpool and the North End. From the outside, the bar looks really cool and the patio looked massive, so we had to give it a try. Once we sat down, we were greeted and served by Benny. We had the quesadilla (wow!) and the fancy spuds (also, wow!) as well as some drinks. They have non-alcoholic options, which is awesome too. Little did we know we'd found a spot we'll be coming back to - it turns out that Benny is the owner of this fine establishment! We always say that when the owner is present, it's a great sign. He was really great, and the vibe was amazing. Definitely bringing our buds along next...

The atmosphere tho. The cocktails are amazing. Employees/owners are absolute sweethearts. They also have the best NA mocktail menu I’ve seen yet in town. Don’t even get me started on that crunch wrap like woah, nahmsayin? Namaste. They make me feel like so much more than just a customer. A source of revenue. A cash cattle on a capitalist farm. (Which I am. So much more. Some people just don’t understand that). There’s « hospitality » and then there’s true realness, kindness and good vibes. The staff running social media is insane. Changed their bio to publicly call me out because I said the price of their PBR cans was insane. Even had like the bartenders personally messaging me. I’d post screenshots but I hope the owners of this business knows you can’t run socials like a teenager. I’ve seen many businesses come and go and socials is everything and a persona being so aggressive and defensive is not ok. I am NOT a butt head whoever you are and I will not suck it. I would have loved to come to this...
