Ken's Seafood & Pizza — Restaurant in Halifax

I placed an order for pick up figured that’s the best way to make sure it is hot my wife got there and said they were very nice and friendly I want to state that first . I ordered from here looking at reviews and people I know that ate there . I am not going to post something on restaurant reviews on Facebook to bash this place but we ordered calms and chips and a 4 piece order of fish and chips with a gravy . Not sure if it was a bad night buy our fish was tough and greasy the clams were not coated properly compared to others place we had recently and I am not going to mention other places that I believe e are much better because like I said this was the first time we tried this place and maybe they had a bad night but even the gravy for the fries had a funny taste .I normally don’t complain I just don’t go back I hope this was a 1 of experience and hope they do better in the future 3/4 of the order is going in the green bin.I was really looking forward to giving this...

I was starving and wanted fish and chips so we stopped in because it was close (and open until 11pm, which is a huge plus.)

Prompt and friendly, it was a little spot but those always end up being good spots to eat.

I got the fish and chips which I immediately opened because It smelled great. It was a pretty classic fish and chips (right down to the brown paper which was a nice touch), I liked it. Fries were fries, again, it was just a classic and simple fish and chips which was exactly what I wanted.

My partner got a burger, also good! He said it was just a simple, well cooked burger (and inhaled it).

I'm more of a light and crispy battered fish fan, this was more dense so if that's a deal breaker you may not like the fish here, however it didn't deter me from eating it. If you like your food simple and "homey" it's a good spot.

I am just finishing up my first Ken's pizza. It was awesome! I was looking to try something new and I find that little "mom and pops" always make the best pizza's. Lots of toppings, very cheap price, great taste and really good dough. This phone number goes in my phone for keeps!

Went back a week later and it was just as good! I can't believe this place has been around for decades and I missed them.

One more time...they are consistent in their recipe. It doesn't change according to who's making it. If you love it, as I do, you can depend on it long term. I tried a new place recently and it paled in comparison to Ken's.

Just to update a year later, I am eating my 20th or more pizza from Ken's and still love it!
