Friend and I came in for brunch around 2pm on a Sunday. We we're given a friendly greeting and my friend asked about a fruit like bowl by the front bar. Waitress told us about it and we ordered some, and it was very light and refreshing. I ordered the benny, since the Philly steak sandwich was a special, they don't always have. My friend ordered a full breakfast of sausage, eggs, toast, beans and other stuff. The place was going steady, for a late Sunday brunch, and we waited maybe 30 minutes or more before we began to wonder. My friend checked in and they said it takes about 30-40 minutes; I guess they just have the one cook on some quieter days, and it has to do with different food components and how it's cooked up. Must take longer that way with one person. So while you can be waiting a fair while, the food is often amazing. My roast potatoes were so hot I had to let them cool. The hollandaise sauce was very nice. My friends sausage had a very fresh fennel flavor that made her happy right away. I would recommend this place, as the food is always amazing. *** Updating my most recent visit, Sunday Jan 28th. The Elvis was very good, with an amazing peanut butter mouse! The bacon was very crispy. If I got it again I'd ask for softer cooked bacon. But quite a treat, and so was the nutella Italian style doughnut. The server so super friendly!

Went here for a dinner with a friend on a weekday and it did get quite busy. Fortunately we had made a prior reservation online. Our server Aastha was super nice and suggested us one of the available beers to start. It was really great and quite strong! We then proceeded to have the Spicy Cauliflower and the Italian Fries. Both of which were good and the fires came with Garlic Mayo. The spicy cauliflower was nothing like the kind I’ve had so far in Halifax and easily sits at the top of my list. That’s something I know I’ll order every time I go back here. For the mains, we ordered a Cheese Detroit Deep Dish Pizza with few custom toppings. It was really great. The cheese was fresh and the entire base was quite fluffy. It did take them quite a while to get this out but no compromises on the taste front. We also got a Strawberry Shortcake for dessert and my goodness it was heavenly.

I've been to Rinaldo's now a few times. Most times it's been really good! Unfortunately, this time was a bit disappointing in terms of one plate, which was the Lobster Ravioli. I found it to be very pricey! The ravioli was homemade and very good, but quickly got overshadowed by the lack of filing and taste inside. $32 dollars+tax for 5 ravioli's seems way overpriced. The sauce over the ravioli was really good as well, just sad when the star of your dish is the actual pasta instead of the expensive lobster filing. The Meatball hero was a 10/10! Highly recommend this sandwich! It was everything and more for $15. $6 for a ceaser salad seemed steep, but it was a great compliment to the sandwich and had lots of bacon, which justified the price to me, (unlike the ravioli). If this review was based solely on this dish, it would have received 5 stars. Unfortunately, the ravioli/service took away from the overall value/atmosphere of the meal. The service to me was quite poor. Once we were seated, it took almost 20 minutes to be approached despite being passed multiple times. We tried closing our menus in front of us, placing the closed menus at the start of the table, we emptied the water glasses, and nothing seemed to work. I was talking about leaving the restaurant as it didn't seem like we mattered. The restaurant was steady at best with a few bigger groups but there were still lots of empty tables and the restaurant itself is very small. When they came by for a "courtesy check," I brought up the portion and asked if this was usual or if maybe there was a mistake? They told us it's usually a smaller dish as everything is homemade, but he would go check with the kitchen and get back to us.... this never happened, not even when he gave us the bill. It was swept under the rug. I wish when ordering that this was brought to our attention. I don't mind paying for quality, but it needs to be worth it. This missed the mark on multiple fronts and wouldn't recommend it with our experience.

We went for my birthday dinner table of four with a meal to go. Friendly service. Bummed they did not have their famous mozzarella sticks tonight. Started with crispy brussel sprouts tossed in a lemon aioli topped with chili crisp and pecorino, fantastic! Shared a large Caesar Had the weekly special BBQ Chicken Detroit-Breaded chicken, house made bbq sauce, pickled red onion, jalapeño, mozzarella, feta. This stole the show. Also had PIZZA ALESSANDRO Poppy seed crust, mozzarella, tomato sauce, pepperoni, gorgonzola, parsley, with spicy honey. Really good but the Detroit pizza was almost unfairly awesome. We’ll be back.

Had the hero sandwich and my sister had the burger special, both of which were amazing! The meatballs in the hero sandwich were so moist and the nice touch of adding the olives in the sandwich was great! We ordered their special fries which we polished off the plate. I didnt have enough room for their desserts, they have doughnuts made in house! We were in the process of getting our bills and overheard that they have a new dinner menu. They have kept some of customers favorites but added a few new items. I know I have to go back so I can try something different. Great meal, just have to go back

If you can’t make it to New York City by dinner time, Rinaldo’s will surely fulfill your craving for authentic Italian-American eats. A few friends and I popped in for a late dinner last night to celebrate a birthday. As always, we had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Our server, Aastha, was lovely, personable and attentive. The food was fresh, flavorful and well-executed. We had the opportunity to share a few sandwiches, pizzas, salads and appetizers. The ambiance was comfortable and fun. Highly recommended for an all-around great dining experience in HRM. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
