I just had the most horrific encounter at Tim Hortons Clayton Park this morning around noon. I ordered a donut with white frosting, She was not understanding so I pointed out what I wanted, muffin and two ICE Capps. There was a young man filling orders on the screen working like mad, there seemed to be an issue with on online order so he took ownership of that and asked the lady who took my order to make the the ice Capps. I was handed two cappuccinos. I was annoyed because of my wait time and that my order wasnât correct. I saidâ I donât know what this is but I ordered two ice Capps.â She answered that I did not say Ice cappuccino and if I had she wouldnât have made warm ones. I explained that I did not use the word cappuccino at all and I definitely asked for ice Capps. She continued to argue â no you did not you definitely said cappuccino â. I told her to stop arguing and fix the mistake. The look of annoyance and she was still arguing that I was wrong. I asked her to stop talking and get what I ordered, since she would not stop I requested a mgr. The mgr came promptly and as I was explaining myself this staff member kept arguing and talking. The mgr shushed her and apologized and promptly asked the arguing staff member to get what I asked for. I was gobsmacked that she was so rude and argumentative. Just fix it! I have been going to that Timâs since it opened, ( I live in the area) I worked at theTD bank there off and on for 14 years and that was my go to spot. Itâs also the Timâs in my area but I now meet friends at the Timâs in Bayers Lake because this Timâs seems to be in disarray and the students completely take over during school. However, though the service is definitely slower the staff have always been pleasant and you could see their effort. Today was really awful! I know the owners would have been appalled by this behaviour. I intend to call a fellow owner ( friend) and contact the owners in person. I feel that strongly. It is rare that I complain in a review I usually talk to someone if necessary and itâs finished. Reviews are for compliments, especially places in my area as I want those businesses supported. Mistakes happen, (God knows Iâve made my share)it is how the error is handled that matters. Berating a customer is not the way! Photo is of â icedâ muffin. My grandson ate the smushed donut before I had a chance to photo , not that I cared about that, just wanted proof that I was there and that this employee did not...
Read moreJust ordered a couple meals from here. They told me I could order a wedges poutine, then told me after Iâd paid that I they couldnât do that after all. The man at the cash (a young white man wit a short brown beard) was NOT friendly and obviously doesnât want to be there. He barely spoke to me while I paid and never smiled.
The employee who told him to tell me they couldnât make the poutine was very confusing and said something to me about âSo you want...the cheese thing? Okay...â before walking away without waiting for a reply.
I had no idea what she was asking me, and said so to the cashier. He started telling me that his coworker is very tired and just came back from a long break. I just wanted to know if theyâd heard my order correctly and if they could make the chili cheese wedges or if I was bringing home plain wedges for the person whoâd wanted poutine. Instead of clarifying, he treated me like I was being inappropriate to ask and picking on his coworker.
I apologized at least four or five times for being confused and possibly hurting the other employeeâs feelings. I tried to explain Iâd had a prior incident at another Timâs location similar to this which ended up rather stressful, and that I just wanted to make sure Iâd communicated clearly.
The cashier did not said âthatâs okayâ or anything remotely forgiving or reassuring. He said nothing at all, and ignored me as if I hadnât spoken, aside from staring me in the eye with no smile for a few seconds. He made me VERY uncomfortable, particularly as someone who has been treated very poorly by men I donât know in the past.
I will not be returning to this location again any time in the near future. The cashier was unfriendly, unkind and made me feel like I was doing something wrong and making a personal attack on his coworker for saying I was confused by what sheâd said.
I used to like this Timâs location. But I wonât be coming back any time soon. I donât know what is wrong in the cashierâs life, but he needs to learn to leave it at home and not take out his bad mood on customers with...

Update: the new staff is AWFUL and we have permanently switched locations because of this. They're ONLY Indians and they don't speak English while at work, highly disrespectful to speak other than national languages while at work!!! (English or French only!) btw I'm also an immigrant but it would never cross my mind to speak my national tongue in front of customers, because it's RUDE!
They ALWAYS mess up the order, never answer the phone, they DONT fix the problem or refund your money and they're extremely rude.
Disgusted by the whole location and you went from 5 to 1 stars with me.
I just ordered $50 worth of food and several items came wrong, like this one, an $11 sandwich which was supposed to be ONLY butter, turkey and cheese, nothing else.
Instead I received ham, NOT turkey, no butter, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomatoes AND extremely dry cheese slices.
I tried calling them and after 35 minutes they finally answered. No help was offered unless I spent more money on going all the way back to get a new one..... no...
