Definitely disappointed! The restaurant however the price vs value and portion was very disappointing! $3.49+ for a cup of coffee even though it's bottomless is outrageous especially when the servers don't come around to refill your cup. Plus how many cups of 4-6 ounce coffee are you going to have to justify the price.

Next the actual breakfast which again I don't want to come off as a complainer but it was just ok considering the price; it was again disappointing but not terrible. Eggs Benedict classic I think it was called; first off was cold which means it was done before the person I was eating with breakfast was ready and sitting under heat lamps. Eggs were over cooked a lot so actually hard, English muffins were mushy, not toasted or even grilled, hollandaise sauce was tasteless and again as I mentioned it was cold. The shredded hash browns portion was very small, tasteless and cold as well. I was very disappointed and I generally easily am full.

On to the skillet; it was again ok, very average, portions surprisingly small: overpriced considering what you get compared to several other breakfast places in Hamilton.

Service; we assumed the server was new considering what we got which breakfast is not that difficult especially when it's not during a rush/much slower. We had to ask for coffee twice and still were told ok yes but not given any even when filling coffee for the table behind us. Server didn't deserve a gratuity in my opinion however we still gave one. Barely any smiles, didn't seem like she wanted to be there never mind taking our order; everything was forced.

My husband wanted to complain about the breakfast mainly especially because we have both worked in the industry however we decided not to in case there were new staff. After we asked as we were leaving we discovered the staff/cooks that day were not new.

Again personal opinion but we will not return because the overall experience was a complete let down for first time customers. There are several other restaurants in this city that have much tastier food and better portions for the same price or lower.

Cleanliness overall was ok but poor considering customers are more concerned with viruses still. Tables were cleared slowly, never really saw anyone wiping down tables or seats, had to flick food off my bench where we were seated. Washrooms were basically clean as long as you are a person not picky and don't mind dust/dirt crusted on door handles/bathroom...

My family has been going to this Denny's for almost two years now and we've always had a great experience. We specifically enjoyed our summer months dinning there to the point that we went up to 3 times a month. We haven't dined there for a while and just had dinner there recently on March 23rd. What a disappointment!

I came with my wife, 2 year old son, 10 year old daughter and my 7 year old son. We were seated at a booth which was fine but had to ask for a highchair for my youngest. I ordered meals for all of us while noticing that when we came in there were a few dirty uncleared tables, yet there weren't many guests in the entire dining room. The table near us remained uncleared our entire visit and the server brought out all of our meals but my 7 year old son's. The server had notified us that "her" meal would be out in just a minute and I believed that he would be directly back with the plate, but we waited about 10 minutes before he arrived with said plate. My son was also clearly biologically a boy, wearing boys clothes. It was kind of bizarre, because it's not like he's a Transgender case and I understand that is another issue in Canada today. Food quality was also under par than what we we used to pur previous visits.

The server did give a single "sorry" but I felt that an offering of a free item/s or at least a discount should have been offered. I had once worked in the restaurant industry for 16 years and it was an unwritten rule that you treat children exceptionally better than your adult guests. Especially in a restaurant considered to be a family friendly environment. It's supposed to be practice, that you NEVER assume a child under 4 would eat in their stroller or be seated in a chair without a booster seat. You should always ask your guests attending with their children, how you can accommodate a child's needs as a gesture of compassion.

This incident caused me not to tip for the first time in many years. I didn't voice my dissapoint during billing because I was that angry and I didn't want to argue with the server. However, this incident left a bad taste in my mouth an I finally mustard up the motivation (days later) to write this review without being too aggressive. My family will not be attending this location ever again....sadly, this Denny's was pur favorite for almost 2 years.

Good luck with the current...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Denny's, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal.

Our server, Dave, deserves all the accolades one can bestow upon a hospitality professional. His attentiveness was unparalleled, and he effortlessly anticipated our every need. Dave's genuine enthusiasm and infectious positivity elevated the dining experience to new heights. It wasn't just a meal; it was an encounter with exceptional service that left a lasting impression.

What truly sets this Denny's apart is the outstanding management led by Amol. Under his guidance, the staff operates like a well-oiled machine, ensuring seamless service from start to finish. Amol's commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of the restaurant's operation, creating an environment where guests feel not just satisfied but truly valued.

Now, let's talk about the culinary delights that graced our table. The menu is a treasure trove of diverse and delicious options, catering to every palate. From hearty breakfast classics to mouthwatering dinners, Denny's culinary team proved their prowess in delivering a gastronomic experience that exceeded expectations.

However, the shining star of our dining adventure was undeniably Dave. His recommendations were spot-on, showcasing an impressive knowledge of the menu. Dave's genuine passion for his work was evident in the way he described each dish, elevating the entire dining experience to a level of joy that transcends the ordinary.

In conclusion, my visit to Denny's was nothing short of transformative, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Dave and the proficient management overseen by Amol. This establishment has set the bar high for what a dining experience should be, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking not just a meal but a memorable journey of culinary delight and...

I feel a little torn doing this review ... the gentleman that was doing all the front line work in the restaurant was very kind, beyond polite and tried very hard to make things right with us ... the food was tasty, although some of it wasn't as hot as it could have been ... starters were brought out after the main course in some cases and to be honest the wait time from ordering to delivery was beyond unacceptable. We stayed at the hotel near the restaurant for a couple days and visited Denny's for supper both evenings ... the first night just the two of us, the second night 6 of us. Neither time was the restaurant busy ... first night 2 other tables in there, 2nd night one table other then ours. We waited about 30 minutes for our meal after ordering the 1st night and well over an hour the 2nd night. If it had been busy it might have been understandable but as mentioned it was not. 3 people with us the second night had been there numerous times before, one said it had been her favourite restaurant until that night ... they commented it was usually packed, service quick and the food delicious. They had been there in the summer and stated it wasn't the way it was the night we had been there. They didn't recognize the staff that had been there the 2 nights we'd been there. That all being said the gentleman gave each of us a 10% off coupon good for the next visit and 4 of the 6 of us were given dessert on the house. He was very gracious in trying to make the situation better. Not sure if they are new owners but I hope they get it figured out if they are ... the lack of customers isn't going to keep the doors open long no matter how good the food is. Timely service is just as important.

Got a build your own breakfast of egg, pancakes and sausage. I love the presentation. The pancakes came on its own plate in the take out box. Never seen that before. I thought the food good. I would have given it 5 stars but my husband said he got a slight styrofoam taste from the pancakes. I didn't have that experience. Also got a jr vanilla milkshake to try and it was delicious. I would say they should have used a smaller cup for jr as oppose to what I imagine they would use for adults as it appears to be 3/4 full in the cup they gave me. Will definitely eat from here again. Update: I did try their strawberry cheesecake milkshake. Not sure if they mixed it up or not, but It didn't really taste like strawberry. Unless they add strawberry flavoring but it was just too light. It mainly taste like vanilla, which is still good, but just not what I was expecting. Also, didn't like the way they added the cheesecake. It made the milkshake grainy. It would have been better if they either added it without the crust or added smaller unblended pieces and just provide a large straw.

My brother and I visited this place many times. He ordered turkey, with mashed potatoes, corn, and coke. I ordered spaghetti meatballs with garlic bread and coke. We both received our dinner hot. We enjoyed our meals. After dinner, sometimes I order strawberry cheese cake. On my other visits, I ordered two pieces of bacon, egg over easy, ham slice with 4 pieces of toast with butter. I ordered age 55+ Fish and Chips small portion. They do have restrooms with wheelchair accessible entrances. They have a free parking lot with wheelchair accessible parking lots. They share their parking lot with Sandman Hotel. They have an entrance inside Denny's to get into the hotel. Where the restrooms are. Denny's is open 24 hours. When we came in, the hostess would take us to our table and hand us a menu to order from. The staff that served us were very nice and helpful. We pay cash for our bill and tip. They do accept credit and debit.
