Just went there a few hours ago, March 8, 2024. Copper Kettle was packed and no where to sit there so we walked to the Jitterbug. Ordered our breakfasts. I asked for my coffee to be served with my breakfast and she said we don't do that normally but said she would. Very odd. You take your coffee with you. I said I like my coffee piping hot. She said their brew is a medium blend. Only 2 tables were taken so plenty of room. Food served in a good amount of time. My sisters cappuccino was very weak and only warm. My coffee was like water and only warm so couldn't drink it. French toast was good but needs some sugar. Bacon crispy but overdone. Eggs and toast standard. Extra napkins should be on table and sugar packets. Not sure if this is new ownership. Thinking owner served me. Some coaching to be done. Coffee needs a major improvement and would not return for it. Ketchup bottles need cleaning. Looks like restaurant could use a thorough cleaning. Also, let customers put their own milk in coffee. Too...
Read moreHaving never been here before, I was unaware of how it worked (you order your food and pay at the counter and they bring it to you). There were no signs indicating this protocol so I entered and stood behind the line, waiting to be seated. The two girls behind the counter just stood and stared at me. I asked if I could sit anywhere and then they told me about having to order your food at the counter. I did this (was disappointed that they don't do poached eggs or have turkey bacon), got my coffee, and sat down. At this point, the girl yelled at me across the restaurant "You have to pay!". In front of everyone, very embarrassing. I was expecting to be brought the bill later. Food was mediocre. Would have expected more kindness and direction as I was a newbie. Other customers were treated much more kindly. Also no condiments (salt and pepper) All around a weird and...
Read moreThe sandwiches were good, but overall we found that the meal was not a good value for money. The menu board was misleading. The sandwich was to come with “fruit and veggie chips.” We were misled to believe we would be getting veggie sticks (ex: carrots, celery etc), which would have made for a great lunch. Instead, we received tasteless processed vegetable flavoured puffs. If I wanted to buy a bag of chips, I would not have dined out... Real vegetables are inexpensive and provide a healthy & satisfying side. There was also no fruit served, as the sign described. We would not return simply because we found the misleading “veggie” chips to be a cheap, unsatisfactory, and unhealthy substitute for a side for a $10 small sandwich. It was not the quality...
