I visited Lemon and Ice for the first time today after reading raving reviews online and hearing great things from friends. I ordered the Keto Bowl and the Green Goddess Smoothie. I'll start with the pros. PROS: Very friendly service. Both employees working greeted me immediately with a smile and were attentive to serving me Fresh ingredients. All of the ingredients used in my bowl were extremely fresh looking and tasting. Lettuce was vibrant and crunchy and tomatoes were juicy The southwest dressing was good. Although I found dill to be an odd choice of herb for this and would've opted for cilantro. CONS: My bowl could have definitely been filled more. I found it a bit skimpy considering the bowl was $19.99 and didn't even contain rice like the others do. You're basically paying for lettuce. The portion of avocado was sad (and really, all of the toppings). In the picture online it shows what looks to be a half of an avocado, but my bowl came with 7 tiny cubes (3 of which were SLIVERS). Not to mention the avocado was rock solid and inedible (I will give some grace - can't control this) My smoothie was almost inedible. Not only did I have to RE-blend it when I got home because it contained ice chunks and chunks of greenery, but it was so insanely sour that I had to add sweetener as well. I'm a clean eater but this was even too "organic" tasting for me. I tasted zero pineapple or mango. Also $9.50 for what seemed to be frozen fruit/veg is just crazy to me. I'd rather get Booster Juice at that point. It took me almost 10 minutes to find parking. With the hospital in close proximity and Concession st. just being a naturally busy area, expect to have trouble finding parking during busy hours. Not the business' fault, but plan ahead if you're visiting.
Overall I am sadly disappointed in my visit. I completely understand that grocery prices have gone up and I would love to support a local business through a tough economy, but the portion sizes and price of what I got (over $30 total with tax) still left me hungry during a long work day. I would love to visit again in the future but only if the portions become worthy...
Read moreIf I could give 300 Stars I WOULD! I work at a dental office down the street ( Dr. Christiansen's - Mountain Dental Arts) Dr Christiansen and his wife Silvir bought our team lunch from Lemon and Ice yesterday. HOLY MAN was it good! Every single employee was blown out of the water with how fresh and delicious each item was. We tried one of each taco as well as the Iris and Greenhouse salads. I am addicted and I am not usually a taco person. I felt like I was eating sinful food but it was all so HEALTHY! I placed the VERY LARGE order the day before and Kennedy and her staff were amazing. Timing was great and the friendly service was awesome. Her mom even " scrubbed in" to help make it all work. I truly insist you try Lemon and Ice. Cngrats Kennedy, you really have struck the jackpot with your new adventure! Thank you From all of us here at Mountain Dental Arts, you have NOT heard the last of us yet! See you again soon.(I would have had more pics, but we dove into the...
Read moreI’m obsessed!!! I live close by and have been here a number of times and will keep coming back! I love their tacos - specifically the southern and Mediterranean. I’ve heard good things about the dill one too but have yet to try. Also love their new wraps they came out with! So far have tried the chicken pesto, which was SO good! And the southern. they’re a bit small but perfect for lunch and I still felt full afterwards! It’s a bit pricey but ingredients are super fresh and so yum that I find it’s worth it to treat myself. I tried the pretty in pink smoothie, which was okay nothing special. I’ve had their iced latte before too which was really good and I’d get it again!
By far my favourite place to go for lunch...
