We have been to quite a few different board game cafe and this is by far the best. There is plenty of parking for the plaza. The food choices are more than other places and not just chips & dips! There are many game selection. Even though it's not the one with most, the variety is more than plenty. They also have video games and an interactive game table!
The owner is friendly and approachable. We feel welcomed.
$10 cover per person is higher than others but it has no time limit. The place is quite spacious and has a great atmosphere.
Could it be better? Yes, there are some areas that could use some improvement. The washrooms look tired and the stall door is short (which makes our 12yo a bit anxious). It might be helpful to organize the games vertically if there are more shelves. When the games are all stacked, it's sometimes challenging to pull one out. Read moreWe had a really great time here and will return. I was going to give 5 stars but honestly each area could've been slightly better.
The food was mostly really good but we found 2/3 underwhelming. Admittedly this one is a little picky as the food was better than other places and there's a great selection.
The service was good but other places may offer help for recommendations and sometimes service was a bit slow. It's hard to play when cups and drinks pile up on the table.
The room is nice and big but not all seats are well lit making it hard to read instructions. And as other reviews pointed out, the washrooms need some work.
We would return here and there's no reason for you to go somewhere else. It's a great location with a few opportunities to improve. I just couldn't rate it...
Read moreI have had the pleasure of visiting many different board game cafes and this has been one of the best experiences to date.
The outside does the place no justice, the design is a perfect blend of modern cafe and nerdy safe haven.
Not only do they have a large library of games, they also offer TV stations with retro gaming systems and my favorite part, The Dungeon, an separate area designed to be the perfect immersive experience (biased D&D DM here :D )
And best of all if you are just looking for a nice place to chill and have some drinks/food they had a great menu and another separate lounge area.
I look forward to what they have in store for this place and I hope it gets the exposure...
