Wow Pop - Pizza & Chicken — Restaurant in Hamilton

I was looking for a pizza and chicken wings nearby Juravinski and spotted this newly open Wow Pop. Just across the hospital and i was the first customer to order take out on the soft opening of the resto. I ordered a combo 1 with pizza and 1.5 pounds of chicken wings. I choose a pizza with 3 toppings (mushroom, bacon & green pepper), chicken wings with honey garlic and buffalo flavor. My order was for pick-up but offered to delivered it anyway with no extra charge :). The pizza cheese was a little dry, i am not sure if they use a mozarella cheese or need more time to melt the cheese. toppings were very less. However, i like the juiceness of the chicken with thai sauce. I actually ordered a buffalo sauce but ended up getting a thai sauce. They should have called to inform that buffalo sauce wasn't available that time. Honey garlic was fine but i couldn't taste the garlic though. These are just my honest feedback. We've been to Wow Pop now on three occasions and each time the food has been very good. I was really surprised the first time when I saw fresh chicken pieces being dredged in seasoned flour before hitting the deep fryer. In most cases frozen breaded chicken is used so this was a breath of fresh air. The flavour of the chicken and the sauces were spot on. In fact when I asked for extra sauce and mentioned that I'd pay for it the owner insisted on it being gratis. He's been a pleasure to deal with from day one. Super nice and very accommodating. It’s decent. Cheese is thick, pizza has a slight homemade type of taste and isn’t too greasy.

Had the shawarma pizza there tho and it just tastes like mayo, not enough chicken and missing spices. It doesn’t stack up to other shawarma pizzas at all, would recommend working on that. The other pizzas were pretty good. Crust is way too thick, but I don’t eat crust anyways.

There’s also way too many items on the menu, I’d suggest reducing some, like chicken waffles in a pizza place doesn’t make sense.
