An Immersive Oyster Experience Like No Other! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Maisy’s Pearl Oyster Purveyors isn’t just an oyster bar—it’s an immersive experience for seafood lovers, especially oyster aficionados. Guided by Dave, his passion and expertise shine through in every detail. Whether you're a seasoned oyster connoisseur or a curious newcomer, he ensures you find the perfect variety to match your taste. Turns out, there's truly an oyster for everyone! I've explored their menu top to bottom—crab cakes, scallops, lobster rolls, and, of course, countless oysters—and every bite has been absolute perfection. But let's talk about the real stars: the oysters! After tasting so many cultivars, my favorites have to be the Malpeque from PEI and the Eel Lake from Nova Scotia—both exceptional choices. Maisy’s Pearl takes the experience to another level with their Oyster Shucking class—a hands-on, social, laughter-filled event where you walk away feeling like an oyster pro. If you’re looking for a fun way to deepen your appreciation for oysters, this class is a must. Recently, Maisy’s Pearl added a super cute lunch window offering simple seafood bites, making it even easier to grab a delicious snack on the go. Whether you’re settling in for a meal, learning to shuck, or stopping by for a quick oyster fix, Maisy’s Pearl delivers an immersive seafood experience you won’t find anywhere else in Southern Ontario—maybe even all...
Read moreAmazing experience. The variety of oysters they had was spectacular; they were as fresh and delicious as they were plentiful.
The staff was knowledgeable about every aspect of the menu, and were an absolute delight to interact with. Each of the servers were attentive and ensured we were well taken care of. It was also a treat to chat with David and watch him as he demonstrated the mastery of his craft.
The food itself was both aesthetically pleasing and prepared with a level of flavour and precision I have seldom seen even in fine dining restaurants. If there's one thing you need to try (aside from the oysters, of course) it would have to be the caramelized pork belly with scallops.
Both the pork and the scallops were cooked to absolute perfection, with a flavour so full and satisfying, that I didn't want to eat the last bite. I didn't want the experience to be over. It was a dish that was truly meant to be savoured to the very last bite.
This place is truly a hidden gem in Hamilton. It's a small hole in the wall that has a very pleasant and friendly atmosphere, and the staff make you feel very much "at home" from the moment you walk in. If you enjoy oysters and are ever in Hamilton, this is a place you MUST visit at least once!
Would recommend to anyone I know and I will most definitely eat here again. A true culinary experience that I won't...

Maisy’s Pearl isn’t just an oyster bar. It’s an experience. The team doesn’t just serve food—they teach you, laugh with you, and genuinely care about making your time there special. They ask questions to help you understand what you’re trying and go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
We went as a group of girls to celebrate our niece/friend’s birthday. She managed to reserve us a table (thankfully!). The space is a little small, but honestly, that’s what makes it better. The size gives the staff the chance to really connect with you. No loud TVs, no overwhelming crowd noise—just good vibes and great conversation.
I’d never tried oysters before, so it was a first for both me and the birthday queen. One of the others in our group loves oysters, while another isn’t such a fan—so we had the full range of reactions. But let me tell you, the selection is incredible: oysters galore, mussels, shrimp, lobster, clams… the list goes on.
What I loved most? This restaurant encourages you to try new things and actually learn in the process. That made it feel way more than just a night out.
Huge thanks to Dave and the amazing staff for making it such a memorable experience. I’ll definitely...
