Silver Wok — Restaurant in Hamilton

We have been eating from Silver Wok since they first opened. They have definitely improved in flavour since then. The first iteration of their food was very bland and relatively flavourless but being the only Chinese food in Binbrook sometimes convenience outweighs the inconvenience of driving down the mountain for other higher rated Chinese food options. This time around the Beef and Green Pepper was very good, the Beef and Broccoli not so much. Chicken Soo Guy tasted pretty good but very thick and doughy. Soo Guy should be thin chicken and thin batter, this was big doughy deep fried stuff but aside from that it tasted pretty good only due to the quality of the mushroom gravy. Chicken Fried Rice had literally not one piece of chicken in it...as Joe Pesci once said, "they f you at the drive through". The Honey Garlic Spareribs were actually very good, tasty and lean. The chicken balls were edible but the real disappointment this time was the 7 undercooked Egg Rolls! This should never happen and as compared to our last order in which they were very good and were a favourite item with our family. Chicken Chow Mien was MEH....watery and undercooked bean sprouts. We will order again from Silver Wok but over time we are discovering which dishes are better than others. Again some inconsistency but they are getting better over time. Placed a order and a mistake was made on their end. I was told I had to bring back the food they gave me by mistake so I could get refunded. I should have been compensated for my trouble for having to drive back but instead when I commented that it was inconvenient with the price of gas all I was told by the manager was that she drives 45 minutes to work that is her issue not mine.
