To Madison: Carlos O’ Bryan’s and Kelly O’ Bryan’s have been some of my favourite restaurants to go to with my family and friends for years. Since I was a little kid, I can remember ordering pachos with my mom and being so excited to be in an (Irish)-themed restaurant. Normally, I would give both places 4.5 or 5 stars because of how wonderful the service has always been. The service is usually better than the food!! The atmosphere and reputation you guys have is one to be taken seriously because people love to come to your restaurants to not only eat, but to make memories and to socialize.
I don’t know why you were rude to us last night, but I really hope that whatever was bothering you will get resolved. I understand completely how hard customer service is, and I’m not judging you as a person. I’m sure you are very nice and sincere outside of work. But making customers feel badly for opening the 2 windows beside their table made my family very uncomfortable. Believe me, I understand if your superior said to shut the windows and turn off the A/C, I would understand, then I would know who to talk to, but you chose to bark at us instead.
I’m sorry if you were having a bad day... I’ve had to go to work on some of the worst days of my life. Just maybe take into consideration how your tone of voice and how you phrase things can make a HUGE difference. I know that it can be hard, but when you’re in the service industry, your attitude directly affects the people around you...
I genuinely hope that you are doing better than last night so that you don’t make other customers feel so awkward for opening a window because the restaurant was so hot.
My mom is a really sweet, shy person. She would never confront you, but she was sweating all throughout dinner. The rest of us were also very warm. It wasn’t comfortable. You didn’t take our concerns seriously. You brushed us off and ignored us when we asked if you could possibly turn the A/C up.
Now I understand if your boss said no, but if your boss is the one who told you to do that, then I hope they read this.
We opened the windows because outside had the same temperature as inside, but there was actually a light breeze which we were happy with! After you came and snapped at us that we were making it hotter and shut the windows while stomping away, we were all very uneasy the entire meal about it. Your mood shouldn’t affect the way you converse with people... Next time, please take into consideration what your customers are saying.

Read moreI... uhh... hhhmmmm.... What can I say? I have tried this place out a few times and it just never seems to deliver. Beige low quality food, crappy drink list, and a "scene" that seems to cater toward the barely legal crowd.
Stopped by last Saturday night to give it one last shot and, man, never again! Service was horrible (yes, it was swamped, but service was worse than expected given conditions), orders were all mixed up, and, worst of all, the place smelled like the boy's locker room after a basketball tournament.
The heady mix of teen boy BO and axe body spray (complemented by the charming "Bruh, Bruh, Bruuuuh!" mating calls of all the young Bro-lings in their natural habitat) gave us all a good laugh as we reminisced about frosh weeks past, but the novelty wore off as the night progressed and it just ended up being, well, gross and lame.
So.. what can I say? The place is busy. It seems to cater to barely post-pubescent pre-drinkers. It does what it does and appears to be pretty successful at it. Good on 'em!
If you go there expecting a great meal, unique/quality drinks, good company, and good atmosphere, you'll probably leave disappointed like we did. Way better...
Read moreThis used to be one of my family’s fav restaurant but not anymore, We were dined in yesterday for my brother’s 25th wedding anniversary and were shocked after witnessing a heartrending incident. One the servers was very disrespectful and passed racial towards a family who were dined at table next to us. That Family attempted to deescalate the situation but were met with staff’s dismissive behaviour. Staff continued their act and created a disturbance by purposely disrespecting them in front of everyone as a consequence of their racist behaviour. Not only me, whole restaurant observed that and were disappointed about it.
We have been coming to this restaurant from a long time. We never had such problems but I surely cannot withstand this behaviour even though it did not happen to me. Subsequently, there is a potential that it could happen with my family anytime in future.
