Night one: stopped in after a long day of travelling to have appetizers and a drink. We had chicken wings, calamari, whipped feta and tomatoes(so good even the teens liked it) and a couple beer. The food was all delicious. Our server was ok, not super attentive and there was large gaps between service. We were also told we would need to move within the next hour or so because a large party would be using multiple tables. All in all, no complaints, delicious food, reasonably priced and happy to stop in.

Our next two visits however were AMAZING!

We stopped in for dinner. We had salmon and rice, beef dip and the chicken cashew lettuce wraps. Again. The food was delicious. But what made our visit amazing was our waitress Kaitlyn. Incredibly personable. She ensured we were well taken care of, on top of drink refills, and made our experience feel like we were at a local watering hole we’ve been coming to for the last 20 years.

Back for a celebration dinner. Kaitlyn came over right away and said hello. She then shared the chefs card and said she had great news.

We are getting married soon, and the night before we talked about how much we love the Moxies sticky toffee pudding and we would love to serve it at the wedding. She spoke with the chef and they would likely be able to accommodate making us our favourite dessert for out wedding! How great!

Not only did she go out of her way for us, she then again gave us incredible service. For dinner we had the best mashed potatoes ever, rib eye steaks and the tuna tacos as a starter. The food came out hot. It was delicious. And our server was the best we have come across. Thank you Kaitlyn and we look forward to returning.

I ordered from moxies on 3 separate occasions while staying in the sandman hotel. They offer room service which is a big plus for when you’re feeling lazy and just want some food in the comfort of your room. The food was good and they have a pretty good menu with ample vegan/vegetarian options too. On the first occasion I ordered the bean tacos and sweet potato fries. The tacos were pretty good and the portion was generous too. The fries were good too but they were too little for the price. The sauce that came with the fries was finger licking good! The next occasion I picked up avocado toast from their brunch menu and it’s one of my most favourite dishes from their menu. Avocado toast is my comfort food and moxies didn’t disappoint at all. I did find that it was hard to get hold of a server on the morning hours even with no rush in the restaurant. I had to wait for a good 5-10 mins at the host station before someone attended to me but the service was okay all of the other times. In the third occasion I got the vegan Thai curry laksa to share with my partner. The taste was pretty good and the portion was also enough for two people to share. OMG , MOXIES is amazing. This is my very first time to a MOXIES. My husband has been there , in the past. At first, we were greeted by an incredibly friendly hostess.Nice big smile on her face right away.I got a great vibe , instantly. Our server showed up told us her name which is Jaylie and she , too was very friendly. The menu was amazing with many options that were NOT too ridiculously expensive. My partner has a deadly allergy to tomatoes that is no exaggeration.Not only did the server verify how bad the allergy is , one of the managers came to our table twice to ensure that the use of PROCESSED tomatoes was safe. Jaylie brought us refills 3 times and we did NOT have to ask. She did the 3 bite check back , which to me is imperative to ensure an enjoyable meal. The attention that she paid without being intrusive was amazing. The food portions were also phenomenal. For 2 non-alcoholic beverages and our food the total was only $ 54. IMPRESSIVE. If you want to be extremely cared for have incredibly friendly staff throughout the entire restaurant and not pay an arm and a leg to go out for dinner, please check out MOXIES .You will not regret it.
