We stayed at the Prestige Aberdeen in Kamloops and got shots of the outside, me heading to the breakfast area and our meal the next morning. We also walked across the lot to the Prestige for amenities and ended up using the pool and hot tub that night. Got a close-up of Moon Wok and their dim sum combo too. The staff was amazing, the rooms were comfy and clean — honestly not sure why people pay more for the other Prestige, except… for the prestige 🤣 Also got a shot of ISAGANI, which offers 25% off breakfast if you’re an Aberdeen guest. #Hotels #Travel #Luxury #comfortable #BitesAndSights @Ash Mck @Tourism Kamloops

We stayed at the Prestige Kamloops Hotel as part of our Rocky Mountaineer Railroad journey, and it worked very well as an overnight stop. The location is convenient, with several restaurants within walking distance and a casino nearby for those looking for some entertainment. The hotel also has its own restaurant, which makes dining easy and hassle-free. Parking was plentiful and accessible, which we appreciated after a long day of travel. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped for a short stay. The only downside was that it faced the highway, and the traffic noise was noticeable at night. If you’re sensitive to noise, I recommend requesting a room away from the highway for a quieter experience. Overall, this is a practical and comfortable choice for travelers passing through Kamloops. With good amenities, a convenient location, and easy access to dining options, it’s a solid hotel for an overnight stay on your journey.

Checked in late at night and left early in the morning. Room was clean and renovated, but lacking some decor. I did like the modern tile in the bathroom. Location is convenient if you are passing through. Easy to find and plenty of parking. There are some restaurants and a mall across the highway. Enjoyed the mountain views from the windows. There is no breakfast, but complimentary coffee and tea is available in the lobby.

Booking for Westerns was a struggle. The manager over the phone was snarky and unpleasant after asking an explanation who they booked our blocked room to. Never got an answer and was not our team. They were not prepared to accommodate youth teams. When we arrived the bedding was filthy dirty. We waited an hour for clean blankets and bedskirts (which we had to change ourselves) there was what appeared to be mud, dirt and dried blood on the beds. Day staff customer service was disgusting yelling at children and parents for using the stairs and the hallways to get to rooms. They closed off and barricaded any common areas refusing access for any teams to hand out western attire or do anything outside of eat breakfast. We made up our own room while there as we were uncomfortable with the staff and got our own necessities as needed. The breakfast was out of food by 9am with an entire team and parents to feed so we were forced to go elsewhere for food. One of our boys accidentally spilled dry cereal while trying to fill his bowl and it came out fast spilling over the bowl. The kitchen staff didn't even give him a chance to clean it up they rushed over and scolded him for making a mess. One of our parents that had to book at another hotel asked to use the public restroom while waiting to take his son to ball and was refused. After our team (1 of 4 teams staying at the hotel) made arrangements with the night staff Avi (Who was phenomenal) to sit on the picnic table and visit by the pool away from all rooms where we could disrupt any guests we sang to the guitar, had a brief view of a passing bear, and then had Day staff call the police on us the next night and her manager came in to yell at us and threatening to call the police and refused to even speak. We were harshly accused of underage girls drinking (which was wildly inaccurate not to mention we were a boys team) and the police came to check out verified we were alright. They spoke with the management checked the hotel out and told us we were fine. He noticed us the night prior complying with the law, as he was on patrol and drove by us several times and advised us to stay where we were and away from the front desk clerk who clearly needed to go home. I would not recommend this hotel to any youth teams as they do not have the professionalism or capability to deal with large groups and ESPECIALLY children. How can you be a host hotel to 4 ball teams 2 provinces away, and have no common area allowed? We drove 13hrs excited for our success and were treated awful. Management should know how to conduct themselves and foul language should NEVER be used on a customer little own any she crossed paths with in the 2 hours she blessed us with her presence. There was no management in for the weekend and with a full hotel and staff that lacked experience and ability that should never have happened. Not Impressed! The overdramatization of events caused by the staff and management and awful accusations will ensure I NEVER stay at a comfort inn again! I will be continuing my complaints to corporate. And so will many other on our team and I can expect other teams that experienced this as well. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Thank you Avi for all your support and backup with the manager who never did apologize. We wish you the best in your future endeavours. Update After contacting the hotel and the Choice Hotels that this hotel belongs to, I have received several emails and social media promises to contact me for resolution and have not received a call once. I called in as requested in email to provide dates and because I did not have the visa number used to book the room on me at that exact moment they informed me there was nothing...

Another disapointing stay with Best Western .|Yes the hotel was clean and new. and front desk staff were pleasant at check in. but that's about all I can say that is positive. | For $330.00/night I can't even believe the best that can be offered for breakfast I'd a 25% discount on an overpriced restaurant. (basically all you are offering is to cover the tip to the server) or a free desert if I spend more than $25.00 in that restaurant. |I've been working away from home and staying in hotels for 30+ years and for this room quite small, the thermostat on the wall was dead . was 15 deg when we entered the room with the AC running on high. had to go to front desk to get new batteries. but nit sure how cleaning staff couldn't notice how cold it was in room.|the bathroom sink was plugged..|Our biggest disappointment was the pool area. the only reason I booked at this hotel was for my family to utilize the pool and slide while I was at work, then upon check in we are notified the slide is only operational from 4pm-8pm. And there needs to be a hotel staff member in the pool area watching the slide while in use.|for the two nights we ended up staying(checked out early as it's way overpriced for the value and awkward pool issue), We requested for the slide to be turned on from the front desk, an employee turn on the slide, sat in a chair and watched my children go down the slide(I found this beyond uncomfortable) and continually ask if they are done on the slide so they could turn off the water slide and bo back to the front desk. I was just about to the point out of spite I was going sit in there until 8pm and make staff member wait. I have NEVER experienced anything like this in a hotel pool area .| I will not be staying at this hotel in the future nor would I recommend...

My Husband, my In-Laws and I usually stay here every year when passing through to Harrison Hot Springs, and on our way back from Harrison Hot Springs, but we will stay here NO LONGER! Never, EVER again! We were driving on the road all day, and all I wanted to do when I arrived, was take a nice, hot bath and climb I to bed. I ran the tub and put bubbles in, and I went to lie down for a while, while it filled up. I went back, turned the water off, and I hopped in, and I laid back and closed my eyes. I opened them about 5-10 minutes later to run more hot water, and upon opening my eyes, I see BIG, LONG strands of RED HAIR AND LONG STRANDS OF PURPLE HAIR, AND BODYHAIR FLOATING IN THE WATER. I was so disgusted I jumped out right away!!!!!!¡!!!! I took a shower and scrubbed my body clean. That was so disgusting!!!!! I told the front desk staff what happened, and he just acted like it was no big deal. I was appalled, and felt like I couldn't get clean!!!!!! My Husband and I work hard for our money, and we paid OVER $100.00 for our room for the night, and YOU EXPECT IT TO BE CLEAN, BUT IT WASN'T. He offered to move us rooms, but I declined, because we had been on the road traveling for HOURS, and we had A LOTof luggage, and my Husband was ALREADY asleep. So, I didn't want to load EVERYTHING up AGAIN, and wake my husband up, because we had an EARLY departure the next morning. I will not be staying...
