I can only rate on food since I ordered Uber Eats. On Google and Uber they have a high rating, so I was excited to try them for the first time. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I ordered from them because I wanted the bubble waffles and decided to get dinner too because of the reviews. I always got Bubble waffles when I lived in the lower mainland, I love them. So to see them come burnt, was shocking. They should be a light color and these were beyond obviously overcooked and into the burnt realm. They should not have left the restaurant. Considering this is why I ordered, I was not happy. After that, the coconut milk tea was not creamy or flavourful. I didn't even get it with ice so it wouldn't be watered down. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't good either. The Angus beef dry noodles, were not good. The beef was almost paper thin and had no flavour, it just tasted like someone threw it on the pan with nothing and it was dry and had no flavour. The noodles were soggy and not a whole lot of flavour, but sogginess is to be expected with take out. The flavour that was there, wasn't personally something I enjoyed and I ended up not eating it. The highlight of what I got, was the chicken with salt and pepper. This was the only item I enjoyed and I really enjoyed it. I like a lot of dipping sauce, so when I asked for sauce, I felt there wasn't enough sauce for me...but then to my surprise, I liked the chicken even without the sauce. It was delicious, flavourful and I liked the amount of salt and pepper. I know every restaurant can have their off days and since there are a lot of good reviews, maybe that is what happened. However, I am not sure I will give it a second try. It is a lot of money to not enjoy your meal. If I ever just want their chicken, maybe I will get it if I am in the area.
**Update I have done many reviews over the years and I am always honest in what I think. I was happy with my chicken and I acknowledged it could be an off day for the restaurant or cook. When I am looking at reviews for deciding where to go to, the reviews are important...but there is something just as important. That is the restaurants response to a negative review. You can have tons of 5 star reviews, but to know what a restaurant is about, you need to see how they handle the negative. Your response told me everything I need to know and I will not be back. I had thought about it for the chicken and probably would have given it a second chance for it, now I will not. Instead of being a good restaurant and just apologizing for the awful bubble waffles, which they were....burnt or overcooked didn't matter they were not good and I did not eat them. You say they are all cooked the same, clearly that was not the case. So just apologize to your customer, acknowledge the mistake and say you hope they are willing to give you a second try. Instead you blame me for something that should not have left the restaurant. I have had dozens and dozens of bubble waffles and none were cooked like this. I did go through Uber Eats because I ordered from them and it was late at night. I did NOT say my order was missing, I put it in as a overcooked/burnt item. I sent the photos and was refunded $7.22, I was not refunded for my full order. So feel free to contact them and complain, I did nothing wrong. I am very disappointed in your response and everyone can see your response for themselves and judge as they want. I tried your restaurant for the good reviews...now I know and everyone else knows how you...
Read moreAs a student living in Kelowna, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of visiting Bubble Waffle Cafe every week haha, and I have to say, it’s hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the warmest smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff here are some of the kindest, hardest-working, and most amazing people, and they truly make you feel at home.
Their food is absolutely phenomenal. My all-time favorite is their signature Laksa with pork or beef, egg noodles, and fish balls. It’s rich, flavorful, and so comforting. To top it off, I always pair it with their mango green tea with tapioca pearls, which is the perfect balance of sweet and refreshing. Together, it’s a meal that I find myself craving constantly.
Although I’m moving to Vancouver soon, I’m already planning trips back to Kelowna just for their delicious food again. Yes, it’s that good! If you’re in Kelowna (or even nearby), do yourself a favor and visit this gem—you...
Read moreOrdered two bubble waffles and a milk tea; the waffles didnt have the right texture (coming from an asian that grew up in vancouver) bubble waffles should be crispy outside and have a little chewy/bouncy texture inside. The boba sucks, the pearl was hard as rocks and i ask them to remake it. They removed the pearls and tried to fix it; but when i tried it the second time, there were a mix of too soft/melted pearls or hard as rocks pearls. My guess is that they use pre-cooked pearls stored in the fridge and they reheat it in the microwave. You can tell its not fresh pearls made that day. The staff was nice and i’m glad the asian community is growing. But i would not go here for bubble waffles or boba. The Bubble Waffle Cafe franchises doesn’t have great rating in...
