Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Kelowna

Went to Rutland DQ location today, A guy wearing blue braces was very rude to us. I told him that the two medium dipped cone looked weird and skinny and if he can make a new one ( I used to work at DQ Vancouver before ) and I know how it supposed to be look like. He gave me the strangest look and said No this is how we do it here and said " Wait here I will get our measuring scale and I will measure it for you so you know" (first I did not argue or anything all i said is if he can make a new one coz it looks weird) we were waiting for awhile for our icecream cone while he was busy looking for the measuring scale... like seriously?.. Never in my life I ever treated my customer that rude when I was working at DQ with all my fellow highschool collegues back before. After awhile, he came up to us saying I can not find my measuring scale, I"ll make a new one but just letting you know again this is not how we supposed to be doing it and next time I will not make your ice cream and I will call my manager to talk to you. Just WOW!... that guy is up to something.. I said thank you anyway. Btw, all the female employees there are very nice besides that guy is rude and need more training how to do proper icecream cones.I hope the owner is...

The ice cream here is delicious as you might expect. Giving a 3 stars because on more than one occasion have I seen a hair in my food or it's been undercooked. Wish they still had smartie blizzards. M&M blizzards are not the same. Recommend the ice cream, but only cautiously recommend the food. (When done right, it's excellent for fast food.) Most of the time the staff is tolerable. Did have one experience where everyone seemed more miserable than usual. The lady at the counter told me to go sit down and wait for my ice cream, I thought it was unusual but I did. A guy brought the rest of our food but no ice cream, so I asked if it was on it's way. He goes, "You don't sit for your ice cream. You wait at the counter!" I said, "I'm sorry, the lady told us to sit." And he said "Yeah, I'm sure she did." and walked away to get the ice cream. I was going to put in a complaint but my 3-year old nephew smeared ice cream on their window and I figured...

I went to visit this location the other night at about 10 minutes until their close. I understand that its frustrating to have a line of people right before close but it doesn’t give you any right to be disrespectful.

After standing in line for a few minutes it had become about 4 minutes until close and 2 people were in front of me.

I had two workers look at me and so incredibly rudely say “I hope you know we will not have time to be serving you” and “there’s just no way we can serve you, we close in 5 minutes”.

All I want to say is these workers have absolutely no customer service skills, and honestly left me in shock.

If they politely had said “I am so sorry, we just don’t have much time and are closing so unfortunately we can’t serve you”, maybe I would’ve left there not giving the workers a middle finger.

Lock your doors earlier or serve your customers. This place is trash and...
