A&W Canada — Restaurant in Kitchener

I always go to Fairview Park Mall A&W, the cashier or person at the counter sees me all the time. I ALWAYS ORDER for my child, buddy Burger.....I always smile at her but never smiles..when I ordered for combo, she didn't put it in a kids box, I only got the burger and fries.. I went to her and asked for the.milk and ask her if the lollipop and whatever supposed to be in the kids combo are all there because I couldn't leave my kid alone at the table..she said everything are in the bag, in this case, where she put my combo..so I went back, no lollipop or whatsoever..I have to go back few times..I know lollipop is not a big deal to some but for my kid, it is.. this is the reason, I don't buy combo most of the time..I buy just the buddy burger because everytime I buy combo, I have to go back so many times to complete the meal.. and she seems mad all the time..base on the cashier's attitude, seems like she doesn't want to be there. Yesterday, will be my last to order at A&W.. All other fast food in the mall are way more pleasant than A&W, except for the oldest lady there,she looks energetic and always happy.. I like the grass-fed burgers, but the customer service is more important to me.. Overall, very bad...

Slow service, cashier doesn’t treat you with a smile and good/positive attitude and whenever I order a combo she always asks if I want fries with that…. It’s a combo so yes fries are part of that

The review does get 2 stars because it’s A&W food which I’m a fan of and in a super convenient location right in the mall.

I just wish the waiting times weren’t as long and a more positive attitude from staff that actively interacts with customers

Edit: after coming here a few other times the same issues persist but the main 2 issues…. Wait time (took me about 10 minutes get a regular Mamma burger I ordered when it wasn’t busy) and the cashier asks confusing questions.

For example I asked for a mamma burger since they’re having a promotion that they’re only $2.99. She asked if I wanted cheese on the burger…. I responded with whatever it comes with the mamma burger for $2.99. Like idk if it comes with it or not and I don’t want you overcharging me just cause

This is my fifth time. Today is August 10, 2024. My order time was between 5 pm and 5:15 PM. customer service is really really poor and this time I really have lost my mind. there was a boy named Meet first he was yelling at the other coworker whose name is vivek and then he took my order. He went inside leaving me half way without charging and telling the other person to cash me out after I told my order was wrong on screen he came out and yelled at me which is inappropriate Also what hurts me how he was talking to his coworker. I would appreciate if owners can give them proper training. This is not we expect .
