I had always thought high tea would be a cute experience with fancy teacups and brunch food that would never rival my love of crab cake eggs bennys but wow was I wrong! The food was absolutely out of this world, and every item tasted different with and without tea. It was insane how they packed so much flavour into these small bites, and normally I like food hot but room temp was perfect for this esp with a sip of hot tea! **Bottom tier**: Chicken salad tortilla, egg salad croissant, cucumber cream cheese on toast, zucchini + cheddar muffin, allium quiche **Middle tier**: original and currant scones with clotted cream + strawberry jam ok so I knew that the scones were going to be good, the crown taught me that it’s a high tea classic etcetc but I cannot explain how amazing these damn scones were!! Structurally sound enough to spread clotted cream on yet still perfectly tender that it’s not a crumbly mess - like excuse me ???? Absolute witchcraft the scones together with the tea literally put me on a different plane of existence - I think I drank 75% of my pot with the scones and I don’t regret it one bit **Top tier**: heart-shaped shortbread cookie w/ strawberry jam, fudge brownie (the fudgiest!!), funfetti cupcake, strawberry shortcake This tier was a bit too sweet on its own, but perfect with tea! From the pics it didn’t look like a lot of food but it’s actually so filling! Service was also amazing, the ladies were very attentive. Overall I highly recommend Queen of Hearts Tea House for high tea, we will definitely be coming back!

I had a takeout tea with my aunt last week and it was great! Let me preface this with our bar for high tea, the only place we had been before, was at the Grand Floridian resort in Disney. The bar is high. Queen of Hearts lived up to our expectations! Not only was the tea itself delightful (there were about 6 I wanted to try but settled on Yorkshire Earl Grey) the food came carefully packaged and was beautiful itself. Queen of Hearts went above and beyond to accommodate my no peaches request (of course we had to pick threpeach weekend! Lol). I am an extremely picky eater with sensory processing issues, but only two things weren't my taste out of everything we received. That was amazing! My usual expectations are about a third is things I don't like. The egg salad sandwich was delicious and the cucumber sandwich was so light and refreshing I couldbhave eaten a whole tray. I think my favorite was the tiny little pink cake thingy, with a taste and texture I cannot describe as anything other than smooth and delicious. I'll certainly be back.

I grew up in Waterloo and now live outside of the city. I have had 3 deliveries made to my parents from Queen of Hearts tea house in the last year. A standard afternoon tea, the ploughman's lunch for father's day, and most recently the Valentine's tea with entertainment by the McQueens. The ordering process is always easy and the confirmations and delivery is timely. Each time I do this, my parents send me pictures of the delivery and tell me how tasty everything was. They thoroughly enjoy the food and this last time the entertainment as well. My Welsh father paused a Rugby game to eat with my mom and watch the concert, so that should tell you something! Thank you to the Queen of Hearts tea for your great service, your delicious treats, and the ability to connect with my parents in a fun and delightful way in these strange times. i can't wait to come back for a visit and experience it in person soon!

My partner took me here for my birthday. Unfortunately the shop itself was closed, and we were only allowed to our table and service reserved, due to COVID, but I look forward to returning when things are more open. I was super impressed with the vast array of tea goodies. The High Tea ordered, "Crown Style" was good. No complaints (Let's be fair, and note that I am SUPER picky about High Tea, and love to visit the British style hotels whenever possible). For me, not a reason to return. However, the shop's offerings, were definitely awesome! If you have friends that love tea, I cannot imagine a better place to go shopping for them. Also, they have clotted cream! And some lemon curd. I really want to check this out.

This place was fantastic for afternoon tea! Easy to reserve, and a great environment for anyone and everyone! The tea was fantastic. They gave a wide variety of selections and both the French lavender and strawberries and creams were phenomenal. The savouries were out of this world. Favourite was the bacon mini quiche and the mango chutney coronation chicken wrap! Very unique and just hands down delicious. The scones were absolutely delicious, and they gave us REAL clotted cream! The sweets were fantastic too! Overall a 10/10 experience! Would definitely come back again, especially for only 45$ per person. Great price point!

A really lovely place to spend an afternoon with friends. They have a lovely selection of teas and snacks. Service is always very good, and staff is so kind. The only thing that I don't love is that their jam and spreads come in plastic containers that just go in the trash. They have such beautiful tea cups and dishes that the plastic jam and butter takeout cups really take away from the fancy feeling of the atmosphere. But if you're looking for a nice place for high tea in Kitchener, Queen of Hearts Tea House is a great option 😊
