Waterloo Brewing Taphouse — Restaurant in Kitchener

Had a nice patio lunch at the Waterloo Brewing Taphouse.

We wanted to go somewhere we could take our dog and grab a bite to eat in the sunshine.

The patio was large and clean, with plenty of seating and shade.

The menu was surprisingly extensive. There are many things to choose from. Apps, burgers, sandwiches, pizza, salads, nachos, a little something for everyone!

We ordered the Palata Boar-A and the Dill Pickle Dip pizza. Both were fresh and large enough servings that we could share between two people and still have leftovers to take home.

The staff at the taphouse are friendly and courteous. Our server ran through the beers on tap and was able to answer any questions we had prior to ordering.

If you're looking for a fun patio to grab a quick bite (and some beverages from their on-site store), this is a great place...

Have now waited 1hr and 37mins for our lunch. Place is busy but food service is super super slow. Unacceptable, secondly ... ordered Margaret pizza with basil. Lucky if whole pizza had more then 2 basil leafs. Was more like a horrible cheese pizza from food basics. Asked staff more than twice to close door from outside patio because was a really cold breeze blowing in and was they could not because door would lock. Concept, put a brick or something at bottom of door to stop from locking. Seemed to be no visible managers around to speak with. I have dined here before. But this was truly unacceptable. Either it was bad wait staff or back kitchen was slacking off. Absolutely...

Visited Waterloo Breweries and had an amazing experience! We tried the chef’s pizza, vegetable dumplings, and the dill pickle dip — everything was super tasty and fresh.

I also got the single flight beer sampler, which let me try four different beers from the tap. I ended up doing it twice and tasted eight kinds in total — each one was unique and flavorful. If you love craft beer, this is the place to be!

The service was excellent — our server Justine was friendly, attentive, and everything came out quickly.
