Last night I had my daughter's and 2 of her friends university graduation supper at Enoteca Monza Pizzeria ( Centropolis Laval) not very happy with the service at all, I had called prior of the event letting them know I had over 30 people at around 6:30 - 7:00 p.m......when I called spoke to a young lady mentioned to her the amount of people and at what time we were going to be there...she had said to me that in order for us to be served as soon as possible we had to be there for 6:00 or else it would go for 8 p.m...so I said if that is the case, I can't book there because most likely we won't be there before 7 due to the traffic in down town Montreal and 8 o' clock was way too late by the time we would get served especially on a Monday night, too late for us!!!....she said well....I will have someone call you as soon as possible to work out the details...I said ok!!! .....A Benoit called me the next day, and said everything would be fine for about 6:30.. 7 o'clock , he had mentioned to me that there was also a Monza down town, I asked if there was parking he replied ...not like the one in Laval but he wasn't too sure, maybe he said with a fee of 15,00$ to 20,00$ ..being over 30 people and not sure of the parking of down town I said well if you can accommodate us all for 7 it will be great, but not to be served any later than 7:45-8:00 I added.... he said well it depends if people ask for entres it could go a little later....well their little later was 8:45 to 9:30 .. they put inexperienced staff which I don't hold at all responsible of the bad service and I want to make that clear!!!....I hold responsible Benoit the person I spoke to on the phone and to the management .....there should have had waiters used to a big crowd, lack of staff big time!!!!..most of us did not get their meal before 8:30 9 :00 o'clock....they kept on bringing meals from other tables, they were completely lost!!! we felt really bad the poor young waiter was trying to do his best, I complained to head waiter hoping things would get better, no change!!!..till the end to the bills things went wrong!!!....although head waiter tried to fix it with free drinks at the end of the evening when everyone had left...too little too late damaged had been done...this was our daughter's graduation (University ) very very disappointed will never ever hold any other event at this place ever again...make sure things are written down when choosing this location for a big event, I lost trust, I was not a new client, the person whom introduced me to Monza at the time we all knew it as Mozza was also there could not believe at the lack of professionalism...I want to add it came close enough for some of my guests that had to wait till 9 to get their entres to want to walk out a real embarrassment my husband and I will not...

First of all, I would highly not recommend this restaurant. First the food is nothing great, and the pizza we received was burnt underneath.

The main part of this review is that the owner likes to scam people for their money. I made a big pre-order and paid in advance for food over $300 to fed my family who was attending a funeral for a family member of ours. I picked up the food, the pastas were all packed up. I should have checked to make sure it was all there but I was in a rush to get back to the house since it was a long day.

I got back to the house, and one of our pastas was missing. I called the restaurant , spoke to the owner and he told us to come back to get it. TO be honest, wasting 30mins to go back and forth in traffic was not worth it, and if we made everyone wait to eat while we pick up the missing pasta the food would have been cold. So he said that he would provide a $35 gift card which was the cost of the pasta, and not to mention 2 of the pizza's we received were burnt underneath and tasted like burnt.

I went to go pick up the gift card which was put in an envelope. I got back home and opened it and guess what there was ONLY a $25 gift card. Initially my meal was $35 plus tax which I would have had to receive about 40$ gift card. YOU HAVE ONE JOB, and clearly couldn't even fulfil it.

I should have double checked my order. The owner handed me the order when I picked it up, it should have been HIS job to make sure everything was handed to me, but clearly he doesn't seem to care about his clients. He cares about JUST MONEY!

Anyways long story short, you restaurants complain how you've been hit hard during the pandemic, but yet people like myself who support restaurants and pre-order ahead of time and pick it up at your location rather than placing an order through uber still get S** over.

I will NOT be returning ever to this restaurant, and highly recommend getting your money worth of food somewhere else where the service is much better,...

After my experience tonight, I would not recommend this restaurant to any young families with young children/babies to visit this place. It was so bad that right after we left, my wife called the restaurant back to voice our opinions directly with the manager.

We had just finished our meal and were getting ready to leave the restaurant after paying. Prior to us getting our food, we had given a small cookie to our baby to eat, which eventually fell on the floor without us noticing. At the point where we were dressing our baby to leave the restaurant, the manager had came in between us to pick up the cookie in our faces as if to show us that we made a “mess.” It was clear to see his frustration and he wanted us to notice to send us a message indirectly. We perceived it as an extremely rude action as he could’ve easily waited for us to leave the table to pick up the cookie as waiters normally do to clean the table for the next guests. This is unacceptable. We felt as if we were not welcomed here. Even as we walked out, he was standing at the entrance and did not say a word to us as opposed to thanking other customers for coming.

To add more to this evening, as soon as I sat at the table, a family next to our table had just left. There was a mess on the floor and the manager brought waiters to show them the mess and he ordered them in such an angry and disrespectful tone to clean it. It was hard to watch these young waiters being told off like that. There is a way to speak to your employees respectfully.

The food overall was great and we have been coming to this location for years. This was the first time coming back here since the pandemic. We surely will never come back here after this experience. I have never felt such disrespect from a restaurant.

This manager needs to stay away from customers as much as possible, requires a crash course on customer service and also requires a crash course on how to...

I’ve been a frequent customer of this restaurant since it first opened, but I have to say over the last couple of years I stopped going and now I know why. For starters, the last time I went, the food was just ok. I ordered the arancini and it was cold inside, but I digress. I went last night for dinner with a friend and it was my first time taking her there. I called a day earlier and was told not to make any reservations because we were only two people. We walk in and we’re told there was no spots left unless we wanted to be seated next to a group of teenagers at the far back of the restaurant, so we then agreed to wait for a spot to be available. A gentlemen heard and then all of a sudden told the woman at the front that there was a booth available on the other side of the restaurant next to the window. We were content as we didn’t have to wait long at all, and we followed the woman to the table. She then walked us over to a table with a booth that had the most horrific looking seats I’ve ever seen, but because we didn’t have time to go anywhere else we accepted, and I now regret this, as I should have definitely said something. We went on with our evening and the food was decent and the service was ok. I would also like to mention that in the women’s bathroom there were two stalls out of order and the stalls that weren’t out of order both had no toilet paper, and the garbage bin was overflowing to the rim of brown paper. Overall, it surprises me that the owner(s) of a restaurant would let their customers actually sit at a booth with seats like this, and wouldn’t consider some light renovations and up keep? I guess at the end of the day, they just care about the dollar a sign and don’t want to refuse any of their customers, but after last night I definitely won’t be coming back.

EDIT: Don't even bother contacting them with a complaint. They don't have enough respect for their customers to care. They only try to save face by commenting on Google reviews and don't actually try to resolve any issues. (This is my reasoning for removing a star) The food was nothing special, but based on their customer service I will not be returning. There's so many other great restaurants in Centropolis that respect their customers and offer great service and food. No reason for me to ever return here. If you do dine here I truly hope your experience is better than mine! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have mixed feelings about this place. Have been 3 times. Recently went for a family dinner. Everyone ordered different dishes. Pros: wait staff was great all our appetizers were served at the same time. Mains were also served all at the same time. Soups, salads and pasta all had good reviews at our table. Cons: the pizzas were very soft, mine was almost soggy and pretty oily. I noticed a strange burnt thing on my plate which I thought was part of the crust, but it was a piece of burnt chicken. Out of the 6 people at out table no one ordered chicken! Just made me wonder if they didn't notice the fairly large piece of chicken what else aren't they noticing. It's like they had plated my pizza on-top of it. The possibility of cross contamination of foods was the nail in the coffin for me, won't be returning. I hate to be one of those people who sends stuff back so I ate the other half of the pizza and mentioned it to the waiter later, no one seemed concerned. The risks of eating outside of home I suppose.

First I'd like to say that we have been to the west island establishment and were blown away by the service and the food. Now here is my experience from the Laval location. Had reservations for 5pm. We were greeted and seated by the host quickly which was the nicest thing of our evening. 10 minutes go by no waitress or waiter. The only reason after why we were greeted by our waitress is that the host seated another two groups and asked if anyone came to see us. We said no not as yet. Moments later our waitress came to see us and asked us if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered a few drinks and asked for water. A few minutes later she asked us if we were ready to order. We placed our order. Remember that we've been to the west island location and were comparing the two. We were not served any bread as of yet or hand towels. We had to ask for a bread basket. Our food arrived and he started our meal. We asked for during our meal another basket of bread and some more lemon for our calamari. Both of which we had to ask twice to multiple people. Overall we spent money and did not enjoy our experience. Maybe it was our waitress or where we were seated but for myself we will not be returning there anymore.
