OK, lets start with the operation. Nice place - organized - same floor plan as Dominos on Des Laurentides. The place is setup for Covid Safety. The place has nice staff and they look really organized because when we went to pickup - the place was rocking. Drivers and Pickups in and out, its been a long time since I had seen so much pizza ready to go - ( reminds me of our restaurant back in the day). Drivers leaving with 4-6 pizzas - ya baby!!!! Nice to see. Stick it to the food deliveries companies.
Now the food - packaging is top notch - fries are very good - having dip and pepper in the box is a nice surprise.
On the other hand - I found the pie a little steamed when we got home - the crust is a little too soft, the pizza I must honestly say is not old school grade, however its a leading 2 for 1 product.
All dressed pizza should not come out looking like a cheese pizza. It really kills the presentation - it needs to be differentiated. What if we ordered plain and all dressed pies for a party and some guests were allergic to the ingredients in the all dressed pie. How could they tell the difference.(kids)
Barely passed, the next day left over cold test.Lacked taste when cold.
I will however go back a second time to modify my review if needed.
Always give a place a second chance. Its busy and therefore people must like it but its not like old school pizza.
Its the market now - people order pizza by the price not by...
Read moreFinally tried Papa John's pizza, and I was really excited to see how it would taste like. There was actually this whole build up with my family and I said I would eventually order it for everyone to try. Well... today was that day, and well... I can honestly say I was disappointed.
I'm a pizza guy. Probably tasted well over 50 different joints in and out of Montreal. Papa John's was average. It's an "ok" pizza, but really, really disappointed about the taste. If I was to compare it to other pizza's, it sits in the same basket as those Double Pizza's / Pizza 2 for 1 or whatever corner store chain you see here in Quebec. It didn't stand out. You do get a nice garlic sauce with your pizza box, but even that gets old fast after the 3rd dip.
They do have a garlic bread option which I must say is actually better than the pizza itself, and probably one of the best garlic breads you can order from a pizza place. I'd highly recommend that at least, but the pizza itself... meh. It's too bad as I was looking forward to adding another decent pizza name to my list. My family members all had the same reaction. If you never tried Papa Johns, then please try it as you might have a different opinion than me. But in the end, very...
Read moreCustomer service! I actually had a terrible experience at first. So, why the 5 star review? Well, I made an online order not knowing that this was opening week (I'm from out of town). Due to this, and the overwhelming amount of customers, let's just say that my experience was long and less than pleasant. Here's where they get their 5 stars. Later that evening, the owner personally called to apologize, he even offered to come to my hotel and personally reimburse me. I didn't make him do that, but did agree the meet him the next day. He had closed the store to hire and train new staff, but took the time to meet with me and apologize and make things right. As much as my meal experience was less than ideal, it's somewhat understandable given the circumstances. However, I have never received this level of follow up customer service before. They've earned themselves a second chance from me. Oh, and the food that eventually arrived was just as good as any Papa Johns in...
