This is our second time at vertigo, the first visit was very good but this time ,on father's day's eve wish I threw the $ in the garbage better than giving it to those soo cheap and disrespectful people! This is pure disrespect towards clients The food was disgusting, starting by the burger vertigo, dried ham with pieces of chunks in it, had this disgusting taste in the mouth all night long, the poutine was some dried fries with a sort of brown sauce we figured out that it was same sauce that came with the steak, topped with tasteless cheese that for sure spent 2 weeks on the counter before being added to the poutine, the ravioli was simply tasteless, dog food, the risotto came with multiple pieces of lobster shells what a shame, smashed potatoes that was on the side of the steak even a hungry dog that didn't eat for 1 month long will throw it on the face of the chef(see how it came to our table in the photo), the tartar sauce wish we asked for a mayo sauce instead, the fish and chips simply disgusting and oilyyyy....wasted enough time on this cheap restaurant Anyway to make it short we asked the waitress since December what happened, she answered that the chefs has been changed..... and we pay the price... Forgot to say that the service was very slow After waiting for more than 20 minutes after finishing the appetizers the waitress came to ask some stupid questions about the risotto and the lobster and here comes another 20 minutes... shame on you all the way for ruining our night and stealing our money to fill your pockets and engage cheap stuff, and serving poor quality food. Shame on you for putting our health at risk by serving low quality food....irresponsible and...
Read moreWe had dinner at Vertigo Laval last night and we were pleasantly surprised. To start off the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and feels welcoming with its warm design and atmosphere. We got seated on a long table with very comfortable chairs. Our waiter Thomas heard us speaking in English when we walked in and made it a point to serve us in our preferred language although he was clearly French-speaking. I loved that effort he put to make us feel welcomed, since it’s not something I experience often in restaurants around Laval/Mtl. The menu is very versatile, not overwhelming and very well priced. We were very impressed by the quantity and quality of the food. We started with oysters, a beet salad and the toast with wild mushrooms (wow). As our mains we ordered salmon, the risotto and a burger. We each wanted to try different styles of food and we were all very happy with our food. We even tried some dessert which was delicious!! If you like carrot cake you must try their carrot cheese cake. Overall, we left very satisfied and can’t wait to go back! I hope they keep up with...

Although the service could be better. We got a table in 2 minutes which isn’t bad. But until we get served, took at least 15 mins. Two of us ordered a small tartare, which the serveuse asked if they’d like salad or fries, so we thought it came with it. But no, they charged them for a big plate for +15$ each. 😳 And when we mentioned to the serveuse, she said it’s because you ordered fries with it even though we said a small plate.
Thé drinks were good but full of ice 🧊 (so a pitcher is really just 3 cups including the ice)
All the plates were bit delicious to be honest, Sud Ouest tartare was good though, but the poke tartare and the thun one was really not it. I’d rate them 0/10
Overall, decent experience, wouldn’t really recommend though. Better options...
