3 Amigos (Laval) — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

As much as I love the 3 amigos franchise, unfortunately the laval location tonight was a horrible experience.

Starting with the parking lot full of holes big enough to break your car mags. We got there, and got seated quickly which was great! But it took our server 20 minutes to come and ask if we wanted drinks....we ordered to drink and the food. (2 waters and one pepsi, plus an appetizer and 2 main courses) ..

45 minutes after that, we asked where our drinks were (we still didn't have our food nor our drinks)

Finally..the server brings the waters... ONLY...I ask, again, for the pepsi (55 minutes later) .... she finally brings my pepsi... with lime wedges INSIDE the drink...

I get up to go change it 'cause I can't stand lime in a pepsi. The barman looks at me as if im asking something incredibly weird and even asks me where im sitting (just give me my f@&$@& drink) - also, thank God I asked for no lime because all the drinks that came with fruit wedges and "decorations" were taken directly with the hands... no gloves...no tongs...nothing... just good old naked hand handling (hopefully he washed his hands after going to the bathroom)

Finally, half of the food arrives to the table...the appetizer and the main course. I politely ask to bring back the main course because I'd like to have my appetizer first and not have my main course stand there getting cold... she takes it back.

Eat my appetizer (flautas) ..they were delicious! After that, she brings all the main courses... wrong order...completely cold... she even asks us if everything is alright and we're like... not really but it's okay (we didn't want to wait another hour and a half for f#%# nachos)

Overall experience, sadly, not good. The food was NOT bad.. but it could have been better (not cold) . Our server, as much as she was "lost", was very polite and friendly so we didn't make a big deal for all the lacking but ouf... you're better off going to the 3 amigos downtown or on the south shore because the laval location... no-no! Or perhaps maybe try to go when there's no more rush...because obviously they can't handle a full house. Even the 4 feet manager that was trying to help, kept on running into the back of my friend for lack of space.......

W’been to 3 Amigos at Montreal after having nice reviews from our closest friend and I love Mexican food very much and I am just tired of having common Mexican foods at Toronto.

At the first of entry they have good pleasant vibes with different colours of walls and dinning area.

One of their staff member named Alam welcome us and provide our seat and menu. He at the same time brought complementary Nacho Chips and salsa( one of the best welcome dish I have ever had at any restraunt- Nacho chips were so crispy and hot and goes so well with cold salsa- amazing🤩)

He informed us priorly about portion size for any single dish so we can order accordingly. We ordered some beverages- cancun breeze, Mango Pinacolada, Vergin Strawberry. All drinks are juicy and refreshing. We ordered at one time and funny part is Alam remember everything at once😅 we were surprised whether he actually remember or he is just pretending however he indeed remembered everything without making notes and served as per ordered to every person on our table.👍👏🏻

In our Main course I have personally ordered Tostada as I have already tried Tacos,quesadillas and enchiladas, therefore I want to try something new and that’s the main reason Tostada’s description fascinated me and it was actually the way it has described in menu and it most likely I can say like Mexican Pizza however the crust of tortilla was outstanding 😘😘😘I can say I don’t have words for it- so soft upon one bite , crispy at the same time, taste was delicious along with veg.Caesar salad and my fav. Mexican rice( one of my again most fav dish from Mexican cuisine)

Mexican rice at 3 Amigos must try dish🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻👍👍👍👍 we have ordered extra Mexican rice beside.

Rest of the dishes that we ordered were Tomato enchiladas (good recipe to try with spinach filling and served in hot pot), 3 Amigos Tacos(all time fav) Chimi Changas( full filling with Mexican stuff wrap).

Atmosphere was pleasant and I would really want to go at night.

Staff were welcoming and helping as well.

Let me tell you about our adventure. It was a supper for a friend’s birthday. Immediately you feel the floor is slippery, felt like I was skating. We sat at the corner booth and few minutes later we started feeling the heat, my skin was becoming sticky, we had to use a portable fan to keep cool, essentially no cool air, we had to step out 3-4 times to refresh. Went to the bathroom, smelt like wet mop, very unpleasant, floor was slippery there too. A pitcher of water was put on our table and the water tasted like left over sangria or something sweet. Drinks served and few minutes later were ordering. We were about 20 people. Waiter seemed disorganized jumping from our table to the other table as guests were still looking at the menu. Food arrived, this is where review stars took a downhill. At least 50% incorrect orders, inconsistent items, sauces were not right, sides were not respected. We asked for the appropriate sauces, was served several minutes later and was the same one we asked to replace. Other guests asked for rice as a side, it was served with fries, asked to change it, didn’t arrive, reminded the waiter, didn’t come, asked one more time (meal almost done), finally arrived several minutes later, one of the bowls included a plastic string in the rice. The celebrant did not get their meal until everyone was done their plates!!! Food was very mediocre, lack of finesse, especially with the heat it was even less enjoyable. Went out for fresh air, returned for the cake, the waiter took all our cups, had to ask for more cups and water. It came time to pay, one of the guest wrongly billed, they contested it with the waiter and it was a “too bad” type of response, it turns out they paid an item for another guest (it was more expensive than the item they ordered). Quite disappointed with 3 Amigos as this is the second one I go to with a year or so where it was an unpleasant experience. Would not...
