1. 5 stars for being an Italian restaurant and living up to the expectations of delicious Italian cuisines.
2. The variety of dishes that are available for the take home meals are excellent. Not sure if the take home and reheat meals is just a pandemic special (lockdown time) but whatever, I love it. It's super convenient and affordable.
3. When it's not lockdown and dine in is an option, the staff is extremely friendly and definitely go out of their way to make sure your experience is the best it can be.
4. Alright, now my top picks. All of the food is amazing but I will lay out my personal favs. The Saturday brunch special (not listed on the menu) is definitely a top pick but propably a limited time thing, not really sure. It has a Pancake, perogies, bacon, sausage, eggs, fruit. Now before I chat about my next pick, I must speak about the sausage. It's not your typical sausage links, this meat is ground up and cooked with red peppers and the most mouth watering spices. I usually don't care for sausage but this stuff has put bacon to shame. My next breakfast pick would be the Mammas Italian morning (with sausage added of course). I'm a saucy kinda guy and love nothing more than my poached eggs and potatoes cover in homemade tomatoes sauce topped with melted provolone and parmesan cheese. I was skeptical at first but 11 out of 10 on this one. The breakfast burger is great no matter what time of day it is. I would smash this burger into my stomach for breakfast, second breakfast, lunch, dinner, and midnight snack. One last item, for any side I will always pick the Italian pasta salad. Where do we even begin! From the very beginning we knew we wanted you to cater our wedding – there wasn’t even a discussion about it. As long time patrons we know the care and artistry that goes into your cuisine and our wedding would be no exception. The communication right from the start was flawless as we mixed and incorporated different dishes. You took what we had dreamed up on paper and transformed it into a pristine Italian banquet. Your networking with our venue was so seamless it was one less worry for us on such an important day. During the wedding staff were so kind and attentive, it made our already intimate event feel more like extended family. The dishes came out looking like art! From the charcuterie table right through to the dessert the layout and plating was done with such care. Warm comforting pasta dishes paired with chicken parmesan and tomato porchetta, the meal was exquisite and a feast our guest won’t ever forget! We changed our minds several times and you were so patient with us. There were just so many delicious options and you really helped us to narrow down the best pairings to accommodate the needs of our guests. There was a peace of mind knowing that we would be taken care of during our event, starting from the care of the staff and the quality of the ingredients. Over the last few years we have come to think of Chef Stella Diner ∙ Catering as family and will continue to support a local business that has created a strong family presence in our community.

We were in Lethbridge on Saturday the 2nd for The Big Christmas Market and wanted to check out a local restaurant. We decided on Stella's as we were in the area! It was a busy day everywhere downtown but we only had to wait a bit while they bussed their empty tables.

The menu at the door was way more extensive than the menu that was handed to us. I'm assuming that's because there's a dinner menu as well?? I was going to ask our waitress but she was run off her feet as they were super busy!

We ordered the Mushroom Burger with fries and the Ham and Tomato Eggs Benedict. The Eggs Benny was delish but the cubed hash browns were way overcooked (side fruit was fresh). The Mushroom Burger patties were dry but seasoned well and the mushrooms were cut so thin you could see through them. The fryer must have been too hot because the fries were as overcooked as the hash browns. I left satisfied because I ordered the Benny but my BFF left unsatisfied and down $25. We gave the farm cats her leftovers but I ate mine for breakfast the next day. She is just going to have to order the Benny next time she visits (if she wants to go to Stella's again that is!)
