I've had New Taste of India twice now and both times it's been great. I ordered the appetizer platter, chicken momos and mushroom pulao on SkipTheDishes and the order arrived hot, and everything was amazing. Overall worth the price.
I also had dine in today, the ambiance of the restaurant itself was nice. I was disappointed they no longer do the buffet, but I just ordered off the menu instead. I got the mixed grill platter, fish pakora, shrimp biryani, regular naan and stuffed chicken naan.
The naan was soft and fluffy, and the chicken naan tasted great as well, especially with some of their butter sauce. The mixed grill platter is perfect for sharing, but I was there alone so I packed up more than half of it as leftovers, very well priced.
The fish pakora was a little less flavourful than the last time I had it, but I know it's good from the mixed appetizer platter I ordered last time. The only issue I had was with the shrimp biryani. I got a lot of rice, but only 5 shrimp, whereas the mixed grill platter had a lot of meat, rice and veggies. The flavour was lacking in the biryani, but I've tried the biryani from some of the other desi places in the city and they're all pretty similar in taste and portions for shrimp. I'm still giving it 5 stars since they still do the biryani taste and size similar to other places in the city. I just wish they had more shrimp in the biryani for $17.50, personally. I look forward to trying their other biryani to see what the meat portions are, but again, overall the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at the Indian Restaurant in Lethbridge and I must say it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.
The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere with beautiful Indian-inspired decor. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome right away.
Now let's talk about the food - it was simply divine! Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavors and spices that truly captured the essence of Indian cuisine. The chicken tikka masala was rich and creamy, and the butter naan was perfectly fluffy and addictive. We also tried the vegetable biryani, which had a delightful blend of aromatic rice and fresh vegetables.
The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable considering the quality and taste of the food. It was definitely a great value for the money spent.
I also appreciate the restaurant's effort to accommodate dietary restrictions. They had a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options, and the staff was knowledgeable about the ingredients used in each dish.
Overall, I highly recommend the Indian Restaurant in Lethbridge. The combination of amazing food, friendly service, and cozy ambiance made for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or looking to explore new flavors, this place is a must-visit!
Thank you to the entire team at the Indian Restaurant for an incredible evening. We will definitely be...

We enjoyed every single item ordered. the basket of assorted naan you gotta order, we ate and ate and took the rest to our hotel and ate again. nowhere have I ever seen assorted naan in a plate for less than 10 bucks. In face no one does that. Hard working small family operated. The young lady in the front was pleasant, professional, and ran up and attended to every single need and with a smile The phone was ringing off the hook which means busy. a lot of take out orders. Bathroom was clean and tidy. We were driving through Alberta and wanted to see if there were any Nepali restaurants and this one said India but when I looked at the pictures and the menu I knew they were from Nepal and thats what I was looking for. You gotta taste the momos ( Tibetan Nepalies potstickers ), they were so good. Ask for house made hot sauce. yum I ate like a pig. you can order mild to hot, the food is not spicy if you do not ask them to make it spicy. Please go there you will not regret. i asked them to make me masala chai and they did. oh god I was in heaven after a long day of driving. Please support local, have patience with them they are making everything from scratch as you can taste and see. this is one of the best Indian Nepali food I ate ever. Trust me my wife is a Tibetan Chef and she could not stop...
