I order 2 pizzas from this location today. It took a bit over an hour to be delivered. I called in around the 40 min mark to checkin. I spoke to Jane and she kindly explained that they only have one driver at the moment, and I totally understood. About 30 mins later the pizza arrived. I was concerned that it would be cold because there was large time gap between the “quality check” and it actually getting to my front door. So it finally arrived and I let Andrew the delivery person know my concerns about it possibly being cold. He pulled it out of the thermal bag and some steam came out because the temperature inside the thermal bag was higher than the temperature outside. (The temp outside was like 5 degrees. When I exhale outside I can see the moisture/steam in my breathe too). The gentleman, upon seeing the “steam” immediately said “I think you should be fine”. I didn’t want to check it right there in front of him because I didn’t want to come off as obnoxious. So I just paid and tipped 20% because regardless, service workers should always be tipped nicely. Anyways soon as I felt the bottom of the box I knew it was going to be cold, I took a bite and yes it was unfortunately cold. I then proceeded to call the store back while I warmed up the pizzas in the oven. I spoke to Jane and explained the situation. She apologized even though it wasn’t her fault and I really appreciated it. She mentioned that she could give me a credit and I said ok. The phone was then passed over to Andrew who got back to the store surprisingly fast. He was immediately hostile towards me and started to kind of argue with me and stated that he saw steam when he took the pizza out of the thermal bag. He made me feel like a liar and was rude in my option. I hate confrontation and didn’t even want to call in in the first place. Anyways after expressing how he felt about the situation he offered me a $10 credit. I gave 3 stars because Jane was nice and other than the pizza being cold and missing cheese on a couple full slices, the...
Read moreWe ordered boneless chicken (nuggets) and they came soggy, not just the coating but the chicken itself. Within that order we also had specialty chicken. It was dried out and had, at most, a tablespoon of sauce. The pasta we ordered wasn’t great but it was edible kinda tasted like it came from a box and a jar… probably did. The 2 chicken dishes were bad enough to warrant a call of complaint. The person on the phone was apologetic and gave a $23 dollar credit. We decided to use it and ordered pizza. We were surprised to find that when they arrived the full credit was not applied. I called the store to find out why. She said it was because we used a coupon but that if we wanted to use the full credit amount she would remove the coupon. I said not to worry, that we’d NEVER order from Domino’s again. The only reason we tried them was because the 6 year old we were babysitting wanted nuggets. We’d have been better off driving to the Golden Arches. Garbage food at Domino’s ( literally as both chicken dishes ended up in the bin) and terrible service. Do yourself a favour and benefit from our experience….no need for Dominoes, there are so many fantastic options...
Read moreWe've been ordering our pizza from Domino's after trying a few places out in Maple Ridge since moving here 3 years ago. The pizza's themselves are generally always pretty good taste wise and not too greasy like some. I find though that if I get say 2 toppings they add lots but if I order 4 different types of toppings I get pretty much the same amount of "content" just 4 different types when I'm expecting the pizza to come loaded with double since I'm paying a lot more. The delivery folks are always top notch and friendly and pizza arrives hot. We've order the pasta dishes on a number of occasion and they're pretty good taste wise but for the price again, not enough "toppings" mixed in, just a lot of pasta. Domino's online ordering system is among the best I've used (saving orders for another time) and the "order progress" is extremely helpful. Just stop cheaping out on the toppings and this could easily be a 5...
