Pyrgos Taverna — Restaurant in Maple Ridge

I always seem to feel cheated when I dine here. It's a cute little restaurant but honestly I feel like they're really cheap when it comes to serving us. When you're charging $30 plus for a dinner I shouldn't have to ask 3 times for taziki sauce. It never seems to just be standard with our meal. They give us Pita bread and we have to eat it dry? When they finally come around with the sauce it's a tiny little one tablespoon portion. They also have a very outdated billing system so they write down the receipt for us and it's always incorrect. They seem to like to make up prices along the way. Adding one to $2 wherever they feel fit. I don't know why their menu prices are different than what we're being charged. Overall the food is all right. Their lamb chops are delicious. I had the dry ribs they were OK I felt like they could have been day old. My daughter had the steak and she said it was bland and tasted like somebody rinsed it off and stuck it on her plate. She also only got 1 potato compared to the rest of us. We had a double celebration, but when I called the restaurant, I only acknowledged my daughter’s birthday. It was our first time at this Greek restaurant, and we were quite excited to go there. I reserved the table over the phone. Whoever answered the phone was kind; nothing negative to say. I asked where to park, and the lady gave me the directions. When we finally went to have dinner, our server took a little bit of time to show up. My son was already there waiting for us, so he knew where we had to sit. When the server came after a while, her demeanor was not what I was expecting. It’s possible that we got her on a bad day, but she was seriously down, and we had to wait almost until our dinner was over for her to warm up. The food was okay. We ordered calamari and spanakopita for appetizers, and for entrees, we had shrimp souvlaki with pita bread, salmon souvlaki, and my kids had chicken souvlaki. My daughter found the rice bland, while the shrimps were good. There is street parking in front of the restaurant, and you can park at the back only...

So, so, awful. We had a reservation, but we're ignored when we came in. Once at a table we waited 30 min for someone to take our order, another 20 min to get our drinks, we were there over an hour and hadn't received our APPETIZERS. We called them over to just make sure we hadn't been forgotten and she just said they were really busy, but to go orders were flying out the door! Her response when we pointed that out was that those were pre-ordered...well, so was ours! Over an hour ago! We were then brought the WRONG appetizers, and when she went to get the correct ones and brought out 4, sad dalmades, she forgot the calamari. I told her to cancel our mains. She then brought the calamari and said the whole bill was comped. We each ate one piece of calamari and left because it was awful.
