Silver House Restaurant — Restaurant in Maple Ridge

The food is alright, I honestly only ever go for the wonton soup and egg rolls.. but after my most recent experience I’m not the biggest fan of this place. We walked in the restaurant is empty besides two people waiting for pick ups. We sit down and neither of the girls at the counter acknowledge our existence. We wait, they continue to answer phone calls and hand out pick up orders but have yet to even look towards us. I’m a pretty patient person, I could of stomped up there and asked for a menu or told them we were already ready to order (we get the same thing everytime and we’ve gone here for nearing 10 years now.) but I didn’t, I remained seated watching people pick up food, the two Asian females answer the phones but still no acknowledgement. Two men come in and take a seat, wait about 10 minutes where at this point we have been waiting upwards of 20 minutes and have got no menu or cutlery. The guy goes up to the lady and with the most attitude she says you can wait. The two men leave, and shortly after we finally decide to leave wasting a total of 30 minutes. Silver house used to be my go to back when Eva owned it. Sadly since the new owners have taken over it’s gotten progressively worse and time goes on. The food is more bland then it used to be but that’s ok cuz it was still cheap and cheerful. My problem is the service. It’s terrible. I tried to order egg fu yung for lunch once (always used to get it with old owners) and was told I can’t have it for lunch anymore. Fine. Next time I went in and ordered the lunch special. Waitress brought it and my drink and I never saw her again. Same thing happened the next time I went in to eat. Even had to ring the bell at the front 3 times just to get my bill. Today I went to see if MAYBE I could get a speedy lunch. Sat down at a table. I was the only one there. And saw no one for the 5-10 mins I sat there. Not. One. Soul. I could hear the staff yelling in the kitchen but not once did anyone come out and acknowledge me. So I got up and left. That was the final straw. Make me really miss Eva she knew how to run Silver House!! Waited for 2 hours for our meal when the driver said 1 hour. Then the driver phoned us to ask where the house was and ended up hanging up on us in mid sentence. Then he walked 2 blocks in the rain with my food so now it's ice cold. We declined the food and told him to take it back. Then someone called from the restaurant and told us we need to return the food if we're not going to pay for it. We let them know we didnt accept the food and the guy called us a liar. I'm a so disappointed with how Jenny is running this business. As someone who worked Eva's for 8 years this would of never of happened. When we talked to Jenny she was not helpful at all!! She seemed lost and had no idea what was going on!
