Absolutely unprofessional, irresponsible people and extremely terrible service.
Ordered a combo and waited at the drive thru window. Tried to call the guy a few times as I wanted to change the fries to onion rings. The guy was wearing airpod in his ear and turned deaf. Eventually I told him and requested for the change. The guy just told me that it would be extra and just WALKED AWAY. After a while a lady open the window and tried to charge us again for the whole combo. Apparently they didn't even communicate. I explained to her and finally she seemed to have things sorted out.
She said she was going to refund us for the fries and charge us for the onion rings. (When you buy a combo and choose to upgrade the fries to onion rings. The difference is $1. 2. But she is asking for $1. 65. )That's totally fine. I didn't even pay attention to the difference of a few cents.
Paid as requested. They eventually passed the food. After I drove away I noticed that they DID NOT even put the sandwich in the bag. It is ok if you are being smart for charging your customer as some people don't even notice. Even if they notice, they may not even care. But why it is so difficult to get food here from here?
I parked the car and went back to the counter. AGAIN, it took a lot of efforts to have those people noticed you. They are so good at ignoring people. I intended to get my sandwich and leave. But it was such a great experience so that I lost all my appetite. Finally the lady came to me and it was NOT UNTIL THEN the guy told her that the sandwich was always in the corner. I guess it must be the first time they finally communicated and figured out what was going on.
I decided to return the onion rings and drink. Just wanted to get my money back and leave.
Interesting enough, THEY CAN'T EVEN DO THE REFUND PROPERLY.
I was charged $19. 3 in total. But was refunded $19. 01. Eventually I wasted half an hour getting nothing from this great place and paid $0. 29 for nothing. They don't even understand why there is a difference. After the lady eventually used the calculator and noticed the difference. she said ' so you are saying we owe you 20 cents. Please come tomorrow, our Manager will help you. '

I am willing to pay the extra if you can do things right. But why am I paying you for being disrespectful, irresponsible and unprofessional?

Read moreI've been to this location before as I'm a fan of A&W and it's on my way home whenever I go to Toronto, specially later at night. Tonight I decided to come by, BIG MISTAKE. I went to the drive-thru and took them at least 10min to start taking the order of the car in front me (5 young kids placing many orders of buddy burgers/combos and whatnot), as my turn came, the lady said it would take them another 10min and I said "Thanks but no, thanks" without realizing I wouldn't be able to back up because another car was already behind me. My husband told me to go inside and place the order anyway while he waited to get out from the drive-thru lane. So I did, little did I know I was about to face another ordeal. After at least 5 minutes of waiting to order (with the girls that work there walking by me and pretending I wasn't there), one of the attendants came and took my order: 1 mozza burger combo w/ fries and 1 teen burger combo with fries (the customer pours their own drinks). Pretty simple, right? Well, 20min later "my order" is ready. I grab the bag and off we go as it's 12:45am and my husband and I are exhausted. Inside we find, 2 beyond meat burgers and 1 poutine. No time to go back. I apologize to the person that doesn't eat meat who probably got our order.
Now, if you are the manager/owner, staff your location better. The place was packed and only two very busy and tired girls trying to deal with everything. Not fair to them, definitely not fair to the costumers who are paying more money than usual for your "fast" food. I don't think we will come...
Read moreI'm not sure about her name but she seems like the manager or a senior staff who works on drive thru with a pair of glasses in kind of a gold frame. She is very rude and has no manner when dealing with customers.
It's not my fault that the internet connection is not working at the location this Saturday afternoon. I was there to purchase a gift card plus a meal with my visa but Gurpreet (who is very friendly and polite) said the internet is not working. I therefore paid by cash for my $25 gift card and that's all the cash I had with me. Gurpreet did not know how to do it when internet is not working, she then seeked help from this lady. I then asked the team if I can use the gift card to pay for my meal which I'm going to purchase. This lady said no with attitude and I said oh then I don't want the gift card. She threw the $20 and the $5 bills back to me like I'm a panhandler. I tried to confront her about her attitude. She just simply walked into the kitchen area and removed her name tag. On the other hand, Gurpreet apologized about the behaviour of this lady and continued to be conscientious about her job. I feel sorry for Gurpreet and other team members to be work with this lady and dealt with her attitude.
Courtesy is a unviersal language, no matter what ethnic background or educational level. All customers deserve to be treated with courtesy and professionalism. I would give no star for this lady, the positivity contained in this review is for the rest...
