The Green Isle｜青屿治茶 — Restaurant in Markham

So this spot is pretty new I think. Up until last summer it was still a sushi spot that was owned by a friend of a friend of mine.

Located in the Domino's/Sleemon plaza at Kennedy & Hwy 7.

I came to try this place after attending a yelp event nearby with my gf and friend.

The cashier was very helpful and knowing that it was our first time at the store, quickly rattled off a couple of suggestions and recommendations to us.

My friend and I settled on Li Bai imperial lychee green tea and marc chagall mango summer fruit tea.

The names of the drinks are super extravagant and pretty goofy tbh. We googled most of the names and found that the drinks have actually been named after renowned world figures which is kinda quirky and cool I guess.

Also the fruit teas all come in 1L size cups. Perfect once summer arrives.

As for the quality of the tea, it was actually very good despite pineapple and mango not being in season, so I can only imagine that it will taste even better once the fruits are in season. My friends drink actually had chopped up lychee in it which was a nice touch.

Price-wise they seem to be upper end. Like more than the Alley but less than Ten...

This place is definitely a must try. You owe it to yourself to go at least once. I work near by and I have never had drinks like this before. I always love trying new things, so I thought to myself I need to try something different. Also I love supporting small businesses. The staff are very nice and positive.

My goal is to try everything at least once. I’m more of a slushy guy so I started with that category first. I’m crazy impressed. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m new to trying these drinks, but man. They are delicious and refreshing.

This is a Taiwanese style bubble tea place. They picked very funny Chinese names for the drinks. By looking at the name itself, you can't figure out what the drink is, you need to read the ingredients to understand each of them. Very interesting... The peach tea is so good. The enriched flavor, but not artificial, is very different from the fruit teas you get from other bubble tea places, and the watermelon drink is so refreshing. Those are my recommendations.
