Cozy, eclectic and friendly coffee shop serving up amazing coffee! The space is unique as part of it appears to be shared with a flower arrangement counter. The existing set up felt cozy and friendly, but I almost missed out on experiencing this place because when we walked in there wasn't much seating left. The space could benefit from converting to a full on coffee shop, as that was definitely the star of the establishment.
Coffee - Primarily Hatch coffee beans (yum!). It was obvious the barista was passionate about coffee as it showed in her puck prep process and ultimately the coffee served. I ordered a cappuccino to start, and then couldn't resist tasting an espresso (red lotus). Barista spent time dialing the espresso shot, I watched her pull the shot a few times, making adjustments each time before serving me a perfectly balance shot. Espresso was perfectly balanced, can taste the acidity without the sour aftertaste on the palate. If you want to know what espresso/coffee should taste like, I cannot recommend this place enough. I look forward to...
Read moreI used to work nearby (Warden & Highway 7) and once I learned there was a specialty coffee nearby I made the effort to walk here each lunch I was in the office.
I can say briefly, the coffee is excellent and this is emphasized by the fact they rotate out espresso brews regularly and offer diverse and flavourful pour over service. I did not know there were shops in Toronto that sold Tim Wendelboe (Norway) or Manhattan Coffee Roasters (The Netherlands) or Coffee Collective (Denmark) and many many more.
The baristas are friendly and helpful and know what they are doing. Any request for adjustments to the brew is easily done if you ask politely, in my case, adding very little dairy/milk to certain drinks.
On top of that the shop also offers some small batch wines and doubles as a flower shop.
It's a shame I no longer work in the area but I will say I will be making the trip out there to enjoy the coffee and get more beans for my home brewing that I'd otherwise need to order online and at further cost. Highly...
Read moreTo be honest, the coffee does fit my taste. We ordered “Coco goes nut” and very tasteless, really recommend they don’t make Espresso with coconut water anymore. The two are not getting along together, the bean is not good and coconut water is just the one from costco. They just mixed them together. I ordered “elderberry americano”, not tasty either, but better than the coconut espresso. Staff is friendly but very slow, so that we almost missed our movie. Took 15mins to make the 2 coffee. No fresh food there. The snack bar tastes normal. Atmosphere is awesome! It is a flower studio at the same time. I think they made all efforts to the decoration. The location is middle of nowhere… not easy to park either. Generally speaking, unless you are nearby, no point of coming in on purpose. (But no better cafe nearby either, no other choice…) Took us $20 for 2 coffee and a...
