Came here for some "dun dan" (stewed egg with milk) and stewed egg white with milk.
There was absolutely no taste. No egg flavour, no sweetness. By no sweetness, I mean literally nary a grain of sugar was added to it. I mean, I could have been eating a hard boiled egg.
The four people in our party tried everyone else's dish to confirm and everyone came to the same conclusion.
We told the server, who told the cook at the back. Through the open door to the kitchen, we watched the chef shove his finger in the batch at the back and lick it. Seems sanitary.
The server came back and said, "I tried it at the back and it's sweet." we explained that we weren't merely saying it wasn't sweet enough; we were saying it wasn't sweet at all, point blank, period. We asked her to try ours if she doubted us, and she just said "Well, I tried it at the back and it was sweet."
And that's the difference in service between Chinese restaurants and American restaurants. You tell a server at an American place and they'll try to offer solutions, apologies, and take the constructive criticism and run with it. You tell a server at a Chinese restaurant and their response is effectively, "Nope."
In addition to there not being enough sugar, the egg white orders were definitely overcooked and the texture was rough and the surface was all bubbled and not smooth. But I mean, they probably would've said, "I'm looking at it and it's perfect."
Service and the egg dishes get one star, but the deep fried milk cubes, the only good thing we ordered, bumps...

Very affordable with lots of options. They also have savoury snacks as well for those evening hunger kicks
The one thing I would definitely recommend from here is the deep fried milk. One of my fave items and done so nicely. A slightly crisp exterior and the milk inside is hot and creamy
Also had the steamed milk with ginger. Another classic for those cold weather days. The milk was nice and silky, but I wish there was a stronger ginger flavour. But usually isn’t that strong as some people may not like ther strong ginger flavour usually
Mango sago and mango grass jelly. Very tasty and definitely hits the spot without being overly sweet
The people we were with got the savoury snacks like chicken wings, siu mai, rice noodle rolls and tofu so I didn’t get to try it
Service was alright. Started off rocky with some seating issues as they didn’t want us to grab chairs from other tables to use as they didn’t want other guests not to have a proper seat (which is understandable) Ended in a good note ensuring that everything ordered came out quickly and very fresh
If you do decide to come here, take note that it is a cash only spot. So make sure to hit up a bank before coming...
Read moreWe three ordered four desserts and the whole thing is tasteless. We won't come again😮💨so disappointed. It is price-friendly, four desserts cost $32. As a dessert shop, their quality doesn't worth the price and could be much better.
-芝麻糊 (Black Sesames Paste) It is always our favourite dessert, but their sesame paste is the most flavourless one we ever had🤢. It probably does not make with real sesame 👎🏻 Rating: ⭐⭐/5
-榴槤飄香 (Durian with Sago) The durian is a slush, not Durian paste and tasteless too. Without texture 😵and watery👎🏻 Rating:⭐⭐/5
-木瓜涼粉 (Glass jelly with Papaya) The papaya is not sweet ( Myabe it is not seasonal). grass jelly usually comes with evaporated milk, but they just directly pour a whole can of grass jelly 🤦🏻♀️ with the sweet tasteless sauce like canned syrup into a bowl. PAPAYA NOT SWEET🥴No comment for the grass jelly( Just Canned food🫤) Rating:⭐⭐/5
奶白燉蛋 (hot Stewed Egg white with Milk) It is supposed to taste smooth with a nice flavour and milky smell. But the texture is awful and overcooked. I tried stewed egg white with milk many times (例如義順同香港 (澳洲)牛奶公司). it is not hot and could be much better. Not...
