Wild Wing — Restaurant in Markham

First of all, let me preface this by saying we came to Wild Wings Markham North on game1 of the NBA finals fully aware that it will be busy and we will probably have to wait a long time for food. My friends got there before me and have ordered food right away (sometime around 8pm) because we anticipated the food will come later and that it will be slow, but I didn't expect that we would be waiting almost 3 hours to get our food! Everyone else who arrived around the same time as my friends and even the ones who came after we did got their orders. Everyone except for us. Our wing order reached our table at 11pm! Our server was probably overwhelmed, and I get that, but also she never really checked on us or updated us when the food was coming etc. So that was the disappointing part and also something that they could work on with proper training. Also, the fact that I had to come in (we were in the patio)more than twice to follow up on our drinks and food was bad enough. The server was in a hurry to leave after she dropped off the food and was also quick to leave when she delivered the bill to us. We approached the manager/owner Imran afterwards to give our two cents about our experience. We explained that it took 3 hours for us to get food and that it was unacceptable. But this guy was basically unapologetic and defensive about the whole thing and just said that it was game night and he couldn't do anything about it. I beg to differ because I think they could've done better since they already know it's going to be busy. It's not like this was an uncommon occurrence, I think the management just wasn't prepared. He offered a discount on our bill but the whole demeanor and attitude of this guy was just rude. When I tried to approach him about the bill again, he just yelled and said that's the best he could do and walked away as we were trying to talk to him. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Came here today with my son.. Placed a order by 5:30pm didn't get our order of Gar par Fries, and double wings REGULAR until 6:12pm, our server said there was a problem in the kitchen 🤷🏻‍♂️ that's cool but what wasn't cool was we ordered Regular non coated wings.. She brought in breaded coated wings.. Luckily they had another batch in the kitchen to make right away to fix the dirty Nelly order since my son was ok with his Cajun being bread coated 🤦🏻‍♂️ we also asked our server for the wifi password for my son's phone since they have wifi there where she stated its not for customer use? All in all was a horrible experience.. Tables are all sticky and dirty like they have been wiped down with dirty rags or just wiped down with 1/2 effort jobs.. Won't be coming back to this location. The Gar Par Fries came soggy and cold... Worst ever I had for wild wings.. They are not even tossed evenly with the sauce and parmesan cheese.. The wings also came soggy and not crispy expect for my sons breaded coated wings. Would be one star review but since they tried to fix my order that our server screwed up on earned another 🌟 the place wasn't even busy.. Super Bowl Sunday should be the busiest day of the year and thereby should have all hands on deck. Alas everyone seemed to have jumped overboard - 1 cashier, 1 cook in the back (or so it seemed) and likely the manager/owner. My initial call in to place the order went unanswered at 4:30pm. I called back 15 mins later and got my order in but it won’t be ready until 6pm, ok. I arrive at 6:10pm and to my surprise I’m packed inside the restaurant waiting with 30-40 other people waiting for their orders - some ordered days ago, others midday and others like me a few hours earlier. But nothing was ready - we all collectively waiting about an hour after arriving to get our orders - some left and returned while I was waiting because they realized at home portions of their order were missing. I could hear the phone was ringing off the hook but they weren’t picking it up - guess no need for any business beyond a certain order limit. So sad.
