We have being at this place a few times but this time was very very disappointing.i also own a take out restaurant but would never treat customers this way. First off all the front is very dirty a child is sleeping in a make shift bed on the bench The owner is sitting their .did not acknowledge that I was waiting for the order not even a hello. She was eating sunflowers seeds and the shells on the tables and the floor. Let's get to the food.i ordered spring rolls were soggy Chili beef was soggy with the dough still not cooked and no taste I had asked for saucy but soggy and not cooked. Fried rice not fried rice this was the rice that they serve with any dish seemed that they just added veggies as a after thought but very sticky . Shanghai noodles no taste So I can understand one dish may be off but not all of them. I talked to the owner and honestly I did not want a refund but an apology would have being nice or please if you order next time we will pay for one dish on the house or something but NO No denial denial Not even a Opology to the reg customer.if I lived closer I would have taken the food back.i was so angry at the owner that forgot to take pictures before throwing everything in the garbage. Will not be going back.! To the owner I understand you are tried and restaurant business is not easy but customers pay your rent and your staff salary TREAT your customers with respect...
Read moreYou will be hard pressed to find a better value than their daily combo menu. For $10 you get a beverage, soup, spring roll and main. This menu is available everyday open to close. This is not my favourite Hakka restaurant, but it is certainly the best value.
The portions are big and we typically end up asking for takeout containers.
We usually get the beef ho fun, chili beef, manchurian chicken, mango chicken, and sesame chicken. We have tried the Thai curries and pad Thai and was not impressed. Also the spice level is usually on the mild side, but we have had some inconsistent experiences. For reference my tolerance for heat is quite high, but others I have dined there with enjoyed their meals despite low tolerance for spice. If you are sensitive avoid items with chili in the name. There are plenty of mild choices.
If you want courteous service and comfortable surroundings, get take out, don't ask for substitutions and eat at home.
If you want a quick, delicious meal at a great price, this place is for you.

Read morePlease avoid this restaurant at all cost! I had hot and sour seafood soup a couple of days ago at this restaurant and it was terrible. I was able to smell very bad fishy odor from the soup. I stopped having after a couple of spoons. I have been having diarrhea since I had that soup. Not only diarrhea. I got high fever and I vomited a couple times. I would never ever go back to this dirty place. I am a big fan of Hakka food and I have been to many Hakka restaurants in Toronto. This restaurant is very bad. I am not sure when was the last time they got inspected by health and safety department. I guarantee this place would not pass if they make a surprise visit. I have never written a review for any restaurants before. I forced myself to write this comment so that others don’t have to experience what I...
