Competitive prices and lumpia are delicious. I will give them that, but that's it. After being a repeat customer for many visits, I think I will be looking for a new regular place. Their service is inconsistent depending on staff. I always call ahead to order lumpia ahead of time. Sometimes no one answers the phone, even after several tries. It makes me question whether or not they're actually open when Google says they should be, and I'm not going there to risk finding out they are not. I'll just call someone else who does answer their phone. Sometimes someone will pick up and I'll place my order w an expected pick up time, which I think is reasonable (eg. 20-30 lumpia in about 15-20 minutes). I understand if there's many orders ahead of me and they might not be able to meet my request. But if a place can't accommodate an order and/or timeframe they should tell you that when you place the order. What happened to me at my last visit was the last straw that prompted me to write this review. I placed my order well in advance and arrived to see the staff sitting at the counter seemingly doing nothing. When I said I'd placed an order by phone her body language and response told me she 100% did not prepare my order. No one else was ahead of me. She was not busy doing anything else at all. She just completely forgot or otherwise just didn't do it. I should have left right then and there but against my better judgement I let her tell me it would only be a few minutes more to wait. So I said ok. And then I watched and heard her go in the back and only start cooking my food upon my arrival. I ended up waiting at least a full 10 minutes. That's a very long time when you had placed your order by phone and were told it would only be a few minutes more, as if the cooking was just being finished up instead of not having even been started yet. No acknowledgement or apologies for having clearly forgotten about my order or keeping me waiting. I felt lied to and was thoroughly annoyed. I try to make a point to support local small businesses, but this treatment is what is...
Read moreWe went for lunch on a weekend. It wasn't busy and place is located in food court inside a building with a few other vendors to buy food. We wanted to order the tapsilog, but they said its already sold out, which was weird that it was early during the day.
They only had 3 items available for the breakfast menu and we ordered the tocilog and longsilog. Attempted to also order the tokwat side dish, yet that also wasn't ready and they said it would take about 20 to 30 minutes to make, which we didnt want to wait for.
We were disappointed with the food, it wasn't warm at all, room temperature, the garlic rice didn't have much garlic, the tocino meat was hard, and barely enough salad. The longanisa was good.
The server behind the counter was polite and tried to sell their other dishes. I have had their sisig in the past once and that was good. Breakfast food was below par and with items already being sold out, or having to wait for food...
Read moreTasty Filipino Takeout. I recently ordered takeout and was impressed by the quality and taste of the food! I tried the sisig, shanghai, and chop suey, and each dish was packed with flavor and authenticity.
The sisig was absolutely delicious—crispy, savory, and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice. The shanghai spring rolls were crispy on the outside and filled with juicy, flavorful meat. As for the chop suey, it was a great balance of fresh veggies and tender meat in a savory, light sauce—comforting yet refreshing at the same time. If you're looking for tasty Filipino comfort food to enjoy at home, I highly recommend Adobo Grill.
