I am back at this mall again. Yeah...another leap into the Time Machine. Once again, this restaurant has been here since I first visited back in 1997-1998.
They offer classic HK style dishes either a la carte or in combinations ( Which comes with White Rice ). Their party trays are beyond popular !!! Which makes perfect sense in reality because if you have a family of 4-6+ people, then ordering the party trays are a great deal.
For their selection and variety, please view the pics of their menu. To me, it is typical and standard HK Chinese food wares here which screams familiarity and comfort food.
It is cash only....so nothing has changed because it was cash only back in 1997 already. So no big deal here.
The food is home cooked good and honest. The portions are quite generous for the price. For the amount of food vs. price ratio here in Mississauga, it is a very good deal. Unless you want to hike up to Scarborough, Markham and Richmond Hill.....you get the idea.
The service is efficient and courteous.
This a bases clearing triple into the gap in left centre field !!!
A++ experience all...

We were excited to try this as it is run by the same owners as Lemon Grass but the quality of food is nowhere near Lemon grass. I swear a frozen Chinese style dish from Walmart has more flavor than this. We had a family combo of chicken fried rice (bland), noodles (bland with no sauce), general tao chicken (actually had some flavor: salt) and some kind of honey garlic pork that was burnt and frankly looked better coming out than goin in. On the positive side, the portions were generous. We hate wasting food, but I wouldn't feed my dog this. Tossed most of it after trying to give it a chance....
Read moreFirst time at House of Pepper. Ordered 2 dishes from the house special section - 1) tofu and veg and 2) chicken eggplant. When I opened the containers both were filled to the brim with rice with a very thin layer of the actual dish on top. Also soup was supposed to included -it wasn't- but I wouldn't care if servings were more generous. Prefer having the dish in one container and the rice in another. While $7.50 is reasonable I'd rather pay a little more for the dish itself rather having it padded with rice or be a little more generous with the serving. Taste wise the food was okay not great but not awful either. Disappointed . Most likely I won't be back but I'll try the...
