Horrible experience on Saturday night and it wasn't even rush hour. Here's how it starts: table wasn't even properly cleaned and when it was wiped down all the chairs became dirty, so before we sat we had to wipe our own chairs. We sat next to the window and there were dirty napkins and an empty water bottle that still sat there - don't know for how long - but that was turn off #2. The washrooms were absolutely filthy and I don't think theres any excuse for that seeing how there were a total of 4 tables when we walked in..... What ever happened to checking your bathroom every hour? The glasses on our table were extremely dirty so we had them removed. The soup bowls on our table were dirty and had them exchanged for clean ones. When the food came there was still no cutlery on our table thats restaurant 101 is it not? Make sure guests can eat with utensils because the washrooms were so dirty people didn't even want to wash their hands in it? There were now 6 tables in total. Servers were selling food at different tables and mixing things up and those conversations when overheard are embarrassing. When our food came, the house fried rice had too much salt and pepper and turned my kid off immediately. So 1 family member of 4 didn't eat. When the Chop Suey came it was so tangy and when we mentioned it the server he tried to argue and the root cause was that he didnt understand what tangy means and when explained he said of its supposed to be like that. Told him we've ordered Chop Suey at many places and that's not what it tasted like no matter what variation your restaurant serves.... In the end I looked right at him and said just take it to he kitchen and tell them the table rejected it... That finally became the end of that conversation. My wife ordered the Chop Suey so now 2 out of 4 people didn't eat. My food was not the greatest either but I don't complain about food I just eat it.....I'm a big guy..... So why am I complaining on Google after the last line was written by me? Because the overall experience was horrible and when your 7 year old says daddy can we never come back here.... That means we will never go back there. Keep it up and you'll loose all your customers. I don't remember it being this horrible...
Read moreThere was only two other customers who were there together. We came during the lunch specials. We were served cups with brown stains on them. I was warned that the Singapore noodles would be ‘too spicy’. The server was not with us whatsoever. She just pointed at the table when we came in and said to scan the menu. After receiving the food, I was trying the chilli oil on the table. The server came back out of the kitchen and was laughing saying, ‘oh is it too spicy?’ The noodles were pretty mild, but tasted decent and had a good amount of veggies. Chilli chicken was incredibly dry and they charged us $2 for ordering ‘dry chilli chicken’ instead of wet. The rice seemed like it was a day old and was served ice cold. The server was in the kitchen the whole time we were there. Apart from taking our order, we were just alone in the dining room with the other two customers. All you could hear was loud chatting and laughing from the kitchen. It took us maybe 10 minutes to pack our food in containers and get the bill, because the server seemed just completely unaware of our existence. The fish pakora should be called pakora fish because it is all seasoning and doesn’t taste like fish at all. It was pretty mild on the spice scale, but incredibly over seasoned, I would have had no idea it was fish. I felt that the spring rolls maybe had minced chicken in them. I asked one of the cooks, who was occasionally coming out of the kitchen to look at us, about the spring rolls. He said ‘I don’t know what’s in it, it’s from the warehouse, it’s probably tofu, the chicken one doesn’t look like that’. The server told us on the phone that the food would come with a side of 2 spring rolls, just to find out it’s actually only 1. When we were finally paying, the server actually exclaimed ‘you only tipped $0.44’. She wasn’t even with us for the entire time. I’ve never experienced eating in a restaurant dining room with absolutely no staff in sight. She didn’t even ask us how we were doing until we were getting up and leaving. We spent maybe 40 minutes- an hour there. Service was actually shockingly bizarre. I felt as if I was intruding on someone’s space. Incredibly overpriced given food quality...
Read moreHorrid to say the least: We made a reservation for 35 ppl for EID. This is what went wrong:
we needed two baby seats but they were so dirty that it seemed that they hadn't been cleaned in months. So I asked one of the servers for a sanitizer spray, and she told me that they don't carry any sanitizer sprays. I work in restaurants and I know that baby seats are to be cleaned and sanitized every day plus every restaurant should have sanitizers!!! Legally they are supposed to rinse, wash and sanitize every dish for 30 secs so how do these guys not have sanitizers! I asked her twice and she said they don't have any so we had to work with the santizers in our car as we would never expose our children to those dirty Seats
food was mediocre at best, very oily and not as tasty
service was fast (food came out on time and they had a lot of servers)
however, the worst part of the experience is yet to come: near the end of our meal, we wanted some green tea so we asked the server to bring two pots of green tea. When they served us the tea, they gave us three small cups with each pot so 6 cups in total. We filled these 6 cups and there was a lot of tea left so we asked for more cups. Upon this, the servers looked perplexed and kept on ignoring our request. After reminding them a couple of times, I walked all the way to the front counter and they told us that the reason we didn't get more cups is because they have a policy of 3cups/pot! To this I said that there is a lot of tea left over and we want to serve it to others and they replied that you can either use the same cups or use the glasses we have provided but if we need more cups then we need to purchase more tea. This was shocking! We requested to speak to the manager/owner but the people insisted that this was coming from the manager/owners. Made no sense to us. We spent just over $500 on the bill plus tax and tip and they couldn't give us a few more cups so that we could finish the tea which was leftover and we wouldn't be forced to either use glasses or use each other's cups!
This was probably the most shocking/worse customer service experience we've ever noticed as a group and left a really bad taste...
